Has he he won a title at a weight-class above MW? Is he challenging these smaller guys at a weight-class they haven't won a title? After you answer both, then ask yourself where's the hypocrisy in that. okay, but when floyd fought oscar there was actually incentive for him to move up, and in that fight he wasn't even able to weigh in at 154 floyd still weighs about 150 on fight night, so there would be a 15lb advantage for martinez, about the same difference that would exist between sergio and BHOP if they were to fight

And with Martinez' weight tonight, it's pretty obvious he's going to move down to jr middleweight. A few months ago Martinez said he was only walking at 168-169 on twitter, but when I told people this, nobody believed Martinez. I guess we could finally lay these stupid walks around at 180+ rumors to rest. i saw a thing were he stepped on a scale durring a training camp and he was 171 but that was probably weeks before teh fight he should go down to 154 permanatly then thos guys would eventualy have to fight him

Yes, he's absolutely being a hypocrite. Though, to be fair, he's asking Floyd and Manny to meet him at weights that they have fought at before. Still, he only seems to remember that weight classes exist for a reason when he's the smaller man in the scenario.

170 is a stretch. He should seriously consider Bute's 164 offer though. Or just fight Sturm in Germany at 160. Problem solved. No need to kill himself to make 150 or inexplicably go to 170 for no money against Hopkins. This is the big money fight at 160 in Germany.

I like the guy and im not trying to hate but him calling out the smaller guys then being reluctant to consider a comprimise of 170 with bhop? I mean he should take the oppurtunity or atleast consider it? what do you guys think about this situation? i would guess that sergios fight night weight is around 170 and if it is a little lower he still wouldnt be way out of his weight division... plus bhop coming down to 170 could be a struggle for the 47 year old and that might even give sergio an advantage He was 165..1 pound more than Ortiz when he fought Floyd..

I've never been interested in such a match up, and I like both Sergio and B-Hop. Just don't see anything intriguing about it.

he never fought over middle weight and only rehydrated to 165..1 more pound then Ortiz...both manny and floyd have held the same wbc title he won at 154..and thats where he wants to fight them

He's willing to fight two guys at a weight they both won belts at. Dont see the problem.
