Since coming up to junior welter weight and above, Pac has been good in the ring but an absolute beast at the negotiaing table. Manny has had a feast on fighters that he has demanded handicap themselves to make a fight with him. Beat a lot of weight drained big name fighters in recent years to (a)cheat history and to (b) minipulate most of the media and alot of fans into believing that he is some super fighter. examples in case anyone forgot: Mosley(coming back down from 154 where he looked average at best against Sergio Mora and prior to that looked worse against PBF, Margarito( JMW title fight @ catchweight and coming off a k.o. and a lackluster performance against a journeyman),Clottey(well he was there for a payday, he practically retired at the opening bell) you see he's ready to fight again now that he's probably getting a little slack in the wallet,Cotto(Catchweight),Hatton(weight drained and already victimized by PBF),and Oscar(hadn't made 147 in years prior to that fight). Can't feel too bad for Oscar though because he had promised to fight the winner of Cotto-Margarito 1 but reniged after seeing Cotto get plastered. He thought Manny would be an easier fight with a bigger payday. Poor Oscar. Finally he gives Marquez the trilogy at his own behest after pdodging him long enough to think that Marquez has declined enough for him to get a clear victory. (And oh yea it's at a catchweight too!) I.M.O. Manny is one of the best at tipping the scales in his favor before he even gets in the ring. Like I said he is a beast at the negotiating table. So with all of that beins stated, I don't blame Floyd one bit for having his demands and refusing to budge on them. But at the end of it all someone has to make consessions if this blockbuster fight is to be made.
