Here's a link to the article and also links to some highlights. He's 26, 6'6, 240 and generally regarded as the best kickboxer in the world when his mind is right. Interestingly, he's got wlad's power and chin and they're the same height, but his hands are a little sloppy sometimes.

I don't like to compare Badr to Wlad because of the different in boxing skills. Badr doesn't have worldclass boxing skills. Wlad was an outstanding amateur boxer, he won the gold medal in the heavyweight division in the Olympics. It's not like Steward tought an ordinary boxer how to avoid getting caught. Badr is big, strong and aggressive but he will never be the boxer that Wlad is. I'm not going to write him off but I just don't see how he easily could be a top 10 fighter and all he has to do is learn defense and how to fight tall.
Like I said I wouldn't be surprised if Badr doesn't even beat tough journeymen who's been there done that but still far from worldclass. Boxing is a different ball game.
In just about any other era of boxing I would agree with you, but considering the state of the hw division right now, I think he could do well assuming he makes a few adjustments. How many world class heavyweights do you even think there are right now? Seriously, have you looked at some of the fighters in the top 10 right now? I don't want to insult anyone by naming names but it's a pretty sad state of affairs. If he has a good 10-12 fights in the next 3 years, he can start fighting the top guys before he's 30, which leaves him plenty of time since by today's standards 30 isn't that old. Obviously all this is dependent on how he transitions but his basic skills are not that far off from the average heavyweights out there. I'm not talking about K2 or even Haye or Peters, but the rest of the "top" guys in the division.
I wish Badr Hari goodluck but the chances of him doing well are extremely low because boxing is totally different to k-1, and those saying its because of money he chose boxing might be wrong, hes said in previous interviews if there's any other sport he would do it would most likely be boxing and that he doesnt like mma/ufc.

So you're putting up a video of him losing by ko as a 21 year old against a guy he beat a year later to prove what?
How can you be so sure about that? He's a dope kickboxer but boxing is a different sport. He's not a very good boxer compared to pro boxers. He won't easily be a top 10 fighter. We don't even know about his stamina. I bet several rough journeymen will beat the crap out of him when he gets to that stage after knocking out some tomato cans. He's a natural aggressive man so he'll get hit a lot no matter how much he learn defense and we all know he doesn't have the best chin in the world.
I can see him get frustrated when he's up against someone he can't blast away and go crazy start kicking, acting a fool and get banned from the sport.
Based on his size and aggressiveness, I personally think if he tightens up his defense he could be top 10. I look at him compared to Wlad and the main difference is discipline and defense. They're the same height and almost the same size and both very athletic. Both have heavy hands and suspect chins. 10 years ago no one thought Wlad could become the dominant champ he is today because of his chin. Once Steward started to teach him defense and how to fight tall he became untouchable. Whether Hari can do the same remains to be seen, but the he's got the heavy hands, the size and athleticism so for me it definitely possible.
The good thing with him is he's a born fighter. It's in his blood. He's not a paycheck fighter like Floyd. He's also got more personality than the entire HW division put together, so he could bring some excitement to the division if he transitions smoothly. Other than the K2, there's few guys with his size and athleticism so I think it's a good thing for boxing if can be successful. He's like David Haye with balls.
he's supposedly meeting up with Nazim Richardson, he's a bit of a hot head but one of the most talented in kickboxing history - he's got a lot to learn though,
If he's able to learn, which is possible at 26 he could be a contender.
Hopefully he gets a good trainer.
Marco Huck, Vitali Klitschko etc are also coming from kickboxing, althought at a younger age.
As much as people hate on the Klitschko's we don't need tools like this guy in our sport.

"Hari, who was generally known for his big mouth and slow ring entrance started some trash talk between them before the fight, making the hype even greater. Hari's long ring entrance took longer than the actual fight, where Hari was knocked out by Leko's trademark spinning back kick."
Actually, scratch that, I'd quite like to see Wlad knock out this guy! lol
He was 20 years old when that happened. Though he still has some growing up to do, he's nowhere near as bad as he used to be and his ring entrances are rather quick now. FYI he koed Leko in the rematch with a spinning hook kick that broke his jaw, here's the link:

Its strange how people say boxing is dead and yet people from UFC and other martial arts always want to come over to start boxing.
Everyone knows the real money is in boxing.
