If HBO just invested hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars to promote a fighter, and that fighter has momentum being recognized and highly visible in the public eye, then doesn't it make business sense to capitalize on that fighter and put him in another main event with pac?
Wouldn't it make sense that floyd rematch ortiz while ortiz's name is still out there before pac beats floyd to him?
Isn't arum always telling fighters to get your name up, isn't ortiz's name the highest out their other than floyd? Certainly highers than bradleys.
Remember i'm not talking about skills, just marketability.
:3some:
I was just trying to make the point that once you've INVESTED alot of money in building a fight up with floyd or manny then it's likey that the b-side fighter will have some residual popularity boost into his next fight. provided the b-side fight makes a good showing during his fight.
I thought it was Mayweather who was fighting the leftovers i mean really JMM, Gatti, Baldo, Mosley not exactly fresh opponents
I dont recall him being to eager for Cotto, Margarito, Berto then suddenly he likes the Ortiz fight haha
Baldomir :lol1: :nana:
I think it obvious by Top Ranks recent signing of Tim Bradley that if Pacquiao gets past Marquez in Nov. then his next opponent will be Bradley if the Mayweather fight doesn't happen. Ortiz hurt his marketability to get an immediate PPV fight. I think people who buy PPV don't want to pay to see him any time soon. He showed his inexperienced and lack of PR skills.
