could amir khan vs mayweather sell out a 100k soccer stadium

Khan is not as popular in the UK as people may think. They could probably do 50-60k tops, but I don't see it doing 100k at the gate. If it were Hatton back when he was relevant then yes I think they could pull it off, but not with Khan as the opponent.

I'm not sure it could pull the 100k some people are saying but if they also make this fight during the british summer/the football off-season then it might go pretty close.olympic games not a factor??? i'm sure they are gonna ride on that, considering they are both olympic medalists.

Mayweather-Khan could put twice as many bums on seats in the UK as it could in the US. FACT! Khan isn't as bigger draw as Hatton or Calzaghe were but is all about the match-up and the fact that Mayweather is probably the only non-british fighter who could pull his own crowd in the UK. I'm not sure it could pull the 100k some people are saying but if they also make this fight during the british summer/the football off-season then it might go pretty close.

Khan/Mayweather at Wembley would be big. Mayweather's profile raised a lot over here with casual boxing fans after the fight with Hatton. I think it would sell out Wembley to be honest. I would defo be there for sure!

I never said that the fight wouldn't sell huge in the UK, I think it would. But it was a question of how many fans Khan has in the US vs Floyd in the UK. Amir can pull it off with Floyd, Pac and mayby Bradley but not with a no name fighter. Chavez pulled like 100k in mexico and Luisito Espinoza similar number in the phillipines.

lol any premier league soccer match easily fills out a stadium, a boxing match like this would be child's play. 100k easy. although it would be pretty hard to see any action from the far away seats. bring those binoculars with you.

are there any 100k stadiums in england? wembley holds 88,000 so with seats on the pitch tht would b around 100,000 (going on the hatton/lazcano numbers which took it from a 45,000 seater 2 55,000). i also think it would sell out pretty fast, when mayweather came over to promote the marquez fight he did a public workout n they had 2 close the roads around the gym cause of the amount of people. tht occured when most people was at work etc. (i believe over 10,000 people showed up just 4 his workout)
