I'd have to say Sergio Martinez. He started late. Developed a style all his own. He's very courteous. Uses his platform as a champion to draw attention to issues (battered women and such). He dedicated his Williams fight (first) to the memory of Forrest, whom he'd never met.
You can tell he's very aware of the fraternity of boxers and public perception and what he can do with the publicity and opportunities he's presented with. He'd get my vote.
lol at this biased thread
Currently, I would have to pick Andre Ward, Sergio Martinez, or Juan Manuel Marquez. I like the way all three boxers carry themselves, as well as the way there qualities transpires to little kids.
Biased? You have 2 pics showing. One of 'Lil Boy and the other of the Pacman.
u mocking a "nikka?"

u forgot to mention he is a sexy sob

and morales(even tho he wasnt to classy durring the morales-barrera days) does stuff for his comunity acording to wikipedia
Wladimir klitschko.. But thats talking about personality and the character of the man.
When it comes to fighting, any top fighter is a good rolemodel.
Both pac and mayweather have their fair share of skeletons. Knocking up a prostitute, gambling, cheating.. Beating up women, legal troubles etc etc. So don't put either guy on a pedestal.
LadyBoy,
The answer to this question is Andre Ward.
No it isn't.
Boxing is a fighters job, not some hobby. The role model stuff should be seen in this context. On most jobs, the guy who gets paid the most for equal or lesser work is the role model.
Young fighters need to learn skills, dedication, but most importatntly, HOW TO MARKET THEMSELVES to increae their drawing power and earning potential.
Wladimir Klitschko and Andre Ward are great role models, but it really depends on what you mean by 'great role models for a young fighter'. If you are basing it purely on dedication, technique, success, hunger and talent, then as the two finest exponents of the sport Floyd and Manny certainly would be great role models. If its the overall package of success and living your life the right way then I dont think you could do much better than Wlad and Andre.
i think it's mayweather, style and behaviour wise a lot of boxers are trying to imitate him.
i'd prefer the last guy in the lower right corner though. klitschko's are both incredible hard working boxers, only their style is not that explosive. but then again neither is mayweather's.
if manny can pass a piss and blood test then he is a great roll model.
floyd isnt trying to be one only an idiot would wanna be like him out of teh ring
