But how the hell does he expect a fair shake when he sucker punches someone to sleep? When he avoids questions he knows millions are asking?
Cmon guys, floyds a smart dude, he's pretty intelligent, so he damn well knows people were waiting on the pacquiao questions, he damn well knows that was the perfect time to call out pacquiao, instead he waits til post fight press conference to further talk down pacquiao's achievements. I used to not be such a fan of pacquiao, and i've even questioned his abilities and recent surge to greatness, but i swear after floyds worse than ridiculous actions, it drives me to like pacquiao for the sole reason of watching him kick his ass. I dont even care is pacs on roids or not i just want to watch floyd fold. Pacquiao's humble, and when he had margarito out on his feet, he didnt finish him cuz he felt bad and didn't want to hurt him. But Mayweather takes out a younger fighter when hes not looking. Victory couped with bad sportsmanship won't win you fans. Floyd gets booed out of the MGM while Ortiz gets applauded. Isn't that something to laugh at? The winner booed? Only mayweather. Through his rants of pacquiao and justifying his actions, he claims he gets no credit.
The answer is simple, you dont get credit just for winning like that, you also cant be a jerk and a villain and then complain when people don't like you.
He has created this negative image of himself that will last not only his lifetime, but for the rest of boxing history to come. He will never be remembered as a great champion, just the fighter that everyone despised, and he has only himself to blame.
Exactly. Not sure why his defenders are always complaining about him being hated. If he wasn't hated he wouldn't be getting paid off said hatred.
Floyd's defenders want him to have his cake and eat it. Apparently they live in a fantasy world where unicorns and fairies exist.
somehow, they don't realize that if one plays the part of the villain as flawlessly as floyd does, one MUST expect to be treated as such.
Floyd is popular now... but in the long run his legacy won't be any better than James Toney.
basically, floyd chose money over legacy by his actions.
the man ain't called "Money" Mayweather for nothing.
actually, the irony here is that its his negative image that ALLOWS him to make the kind of PPVs that he has.

i wouldn't be surprised if floyd's complaining of not getting a fair shake is ALSO part of his act and is calculated to make people pay in the hopes of seeing him lose.
you gotta give the man credit. nobody in boxing right now sells himself as well as floyd...
