With Floyd being inactive, and Floyd getting up there in age, I cant see Floyd being active enough in the ring for Amir.
Amir is bigger, stronger, longer, younger and throws more punches.
Maybe if it was a few years ago and Floyd was in his prime, but right now I cant see anyway Floyd beats him.
I actually give Khan a good chance at beating Mayweather. He is smart, he boxes very well, has a nice work rate and excellent ring command (so he's not likely to fight in spurts like Ortiz did), terrific training and conditioning from Roach and Ariza, is mentally tough and some of the fastest hands in the sport.
Needless to say this isn't another day at the office for Floyd.
And he is physically transforming into even more of a beast as we saw against Judah. using more strength and sitting down on his punches more.
Anyone else thinking how awsome it's going to be Bumping this thread:boxing:
when are we going to bump the floyd-cotto, floyd-margarito, floyd-pac threads. oh right never...but we got the floyd-baldomir, and floyd-ortiz threads to bump even though no one wanted those crap fights. he fights for the fans!
Khan needs to establish at 147 first. In fact he should clean out 140 before he even thinks about moving up. Morales for the WBC strap, then Bradley for the lineal/ring belt then rematch Maidana. Plenty of work left to do!
khan although is skillful is no where near floyd at the moment......
even if floyd did fight him , once he beat him all the hate would start about how khan was smaller , slower and not as phisically strong.
khan should earn a shot by fightin contenders not pretenders..
Floyd don't want none of Khan after losing 2 outta 4 rounds to Ortiz. Heck, he doesn't even want none of Merchant when Merchant said he was gonna beat his ass he ran off like a lil b*tch
Oh, really! Which two rounds did Mayweather lose, considering there were only three rounds completed. Two of the three judges had Mayweather winning all three rounds and one judge had Mayweather up two rounds to one.
Since you live in your own state of delusion, I am sure you are counting the fourth round as one of those rounds that Mayweather lost That was the same round in which Mayweather hurt Ortiz about halfway through the round and Ortiz was on the verge of going down and had to hold on to Mayweather to keep himself up. I am sure you didn't see that since you were so focused on the nine of 27 punches that Ortiz landed in the fourth round (not including the headbutt), according to Compubox! Twenty-seven just happens to be the same number of punches that Mayweather landed in the fourth round (27 of 63). Mayweather landed as many punches as Ortiz threw in the round and hurt Ortiz halfway through the round. Yet, in your mind, Ortiz was winning the round before he used a deliberate headbutt to try to escape the a$$-whipping he was taking from Mayweather.
I get it now!! Check_hooks is actually Oscar De La Hoya pretending to be a dumba$$ who knows nothing about boxing.

Everything you said is the exact same thing that all the Pactards and Bob Arum said about Victor Ortiz before Floyd whipped Ortiz' a$$. Khan is no bigger, stronger, younger or more active than Ortiz and Ortiz didn't get his a$$ knocked out in the first round by a journeyman. Floyd will fight and KO Khan and afterwards, the Pactards will use the same excuses and engage in the same bit.ching that they are doing now that Ortiz has been taken to the woodshed.

You'll just say that AMir was a bum after Floyd KO's him in the 6th round or so.
Trust Me!
This would be a fight where Floyd would HAVE TO COME FORWARD. He got hit way too much, and missed a lot of lead rights against Ortiz. Amir has the legnth to stay away from Floyd, but the speed to make Mayweather pay.
I also think that Amir's left hook to the body is the difference. Look at Maidana and Zab.
Problem is - Floyd is neither Zab or Maidana... Castillo punched Floyd's body for 12 rounds and he ain't moved one bit... Floyd can't be hurt to the body...
Yes... he did against Mosley who has fast hands and more power as Khan... and he did it as well against Ortiz who is also stronger then Khan... it is great that you tell Floyd fans that they should see that Floyd has eroded - probably you should also see that Khan isn't as good as you probably think... he can be good if he follows the gameplan and protects his chin... but even against Maidana (who isn't really much boxing wise... just a puncher who swings pretty wild and Amir should be able to see that - Mayweather is bigger and has longer arms then Maidana by the way) he couldn't pull it off... he is still young and improving... but still... you have seen Khan fight McCloskey??? McCloskey is kind of a defensive fighter - kind of... and you saw how he made Khan look or??? Mayweather is an different level... but hey - put into WEMBLEY STADIUM - 80.000 and we have an event - I would love it
He doesn't need to have heavy hands... his hands are way more accurate...
He has the chin of Maidana... easily... Ortiz knocked Maidana down but not Mayweather...
Handspeed doesn't mean anything if you can't find your target... Floyd wins with brain and smarts... did Handspeed help Khan to not get hurt by Maidana... Maidana is nowhere near the class, reflexes, hand and footspeed and he still gave Khan enough trouble (even though Khan won) - this was at 140 - Mayweather is 147...
His skills ain't eroded (a little bit of his physical attributes) - before he was 2 levels above his competition - now he is just one class above them... still way too much for Khan...

If pacman announced tomorrow that he sucks horse c#ck, would you still be his fan?
answer honestly....
Floyd doesnt have the heavy hands like Maidana. He is relentless and I doubt that he has the chin of Maidana.
Amir is the only fighter besides Pac man that has the handspeed to match Floyd.
Floyd's skills have eroded so much, and only his fans cant see the evidence when its right in their face.
