JMM never fought above 135 maybe had soemthing to do with it?Floyd does deserve credit but JMM looked mighty sluggish at ww which is why its annoying to see MP exploit this to a lesser extent
Now that's BS. I'm not sold by that statement.
The JMM who fought against Mayweather wasn't more "out of shape", "sluggish" or "bloated" than the version who fought Pacquiao last night. Mayweather made a great fighter look very ordinary. And let me remind you that Floyd's fight with JMM took place 2009 and Floyd came from a 21 month layoff.
Who can take 21 months off, dominate a great fighter and show no signs of ring rust?
Bottom line is, if you won't give Floyd props for his win in dominating fashion over JMM in 2009, then how can you give credit to Manny for his, controversial, win last night?
I give him credit, both are master tacticians but clearly Floyd's style was all wrong for Marquez. I don't think the weight was the biggest issue it was the style of both fighters. Last night proved the weight debate is a load of rubbish because Marquez outboxed arguably the P4P No.1 fighter in the world who is a regular at that weight. Floyd was just a class above.
People who are making an issue about the weight difference, are the same people who have never laced 'em up or even been a street fight before.
They're just going by what everyone else says.
The style Floyd employed that night was not even one where he imposed his size or strength on Marquez, neither is the style of Marquez one where he relies on being able to push his opponent around or control him with his mass or strength.
Both fighters are technician type fighters, who rely mostly on pure boxing ability.
That being said, I bet the amount of times Floyd and Marquez clinched in that fight can be counted on one hand. I also bet that at neither of those times did Floyd try to lay on him or push him into a corner or turn him around.
So considering those facts, what advantage does the added weight add?
Because I fail to understand the argument.
I would have to say yes I give him credit for beating JMM he was the pound 4 pound number two by the ring . Mayweather made him look like a guy that didn't belong in the ring with him. Beating him easy and it look like Floyd was about to knock him out like in the 10 or 11 round. I hate to say something bad about Marquez because he is a good fighter if he loses to the Pacman I would like to see him and morales at 140.
I mean...kind of. It was only impressive how badly he outclassed him. It is difficult though, because he could have gotten him out of there if he pressed the action but classic Floyd he cruised to a UD.
why isnt manny fighting him at 140?
if you are saying Jmm is a 135 guy and can fight Manny at 140.. why the hell
Jmm cant fight at 140 and campaign there where manny is at 147. anyway a
147 Floyd never fought at 144 against Jmm.
Floyd would win anyway Floydies keep saying? Why didnt Floyd just step down to 140 to fight JMM, as i suppose Floyd would win anyway wouldnt he?
Only in fantasy land!
why isnt manny fighting him at 140?
Sizes:
Jmm=Pac but Pac and Jmm are different boxer.
Floyd>Pac=Jmm and Floyd is a little bigger than Pac as of today.
Floyd fought Jmm just to prove he is better than Pac.
Floyd vs Pac is much better to see. Pac can fight at a higher weight that is why
Floyd doesnt agree to what Pac is doing in his fight weight. And now Pac is
needed to be TESTED coz of if Floyd said if he were fighting and KOing/
dominating at HW etc etc bla bla bla he might be in PEDs... thats why he is
complaining about a one dimensional overrated Pac has done in boxing is
impossible. anyway he didnt know they start at 106 at the same age. lol

yes or no and why
I think Ortiz wasn't ready and didn't deserve that fight. Dude is a green fighter, he did well against Berto, but Berto sucks, Ortiz's record was terrible entering in the ring for a PPV fight, 1 title fight, 2 losses and a draw against average fighters.
Floyd and Manny are in the same boat, picking easy fights. Floyd is smarter as a cherry picker.
They don't challenge themselves...
Mosley is a grandpa, Marquez is too small at 147.
Floyd outboxed JMM. That is the key concept, he showed that his skills were superior. JMM is a great boxer, excellent counterpuncher, so yes I give Floyd a lot of credit. If JMM were 3 inches taller and 10lbs heavier the result would have been the same.
Floyd will get no credit for his JMM win. Any top 10 WW would dominate JMM you could say, and no one could prove otherwise.
Thats the thing, rather than Floyd making it a fair fight from the outset, he and his fans hypothesize how Floyd would beat his opponents anyway. Just like when he unfairly beat hatton, Floydies say Floyd would have beat hatton even if Cortez was fair to Hatton.
Basically acknowledging Cortez cheated hatton!
Just make it an even playing field from the outset and make it fair, rather than say if it was fair, Floyd would win anyway. How ridiculous does that make Floyd look? I dont even think can begin to comprehend how much he has harmed his legacy.
