The fight was fast approaching and he wasn't mentally right. Maybe he couldn't fall asleep one night and out of desperation cut his eyebrow with a knife. Who knows what the next excuse will be come december. He's shook, he;s scared and he wants out of the tournament Wards accidentally headbutted his sparring partner fist and that caused the cut.
