I can't believe that some of you don't think victor was a live dog in that fight. He clearly went in to touch gloves and went on for a hug only once! You could see on Floyds face he was going to sucker punch him. Then with dumb truck Cortez looking away Floyd got even.
The thing that amazes me is that while Ortiz was clearly taking some steps back after hugging Floyd that is when Floyd took advantage and sucker punched him.
Now I ask all you on this forum (even super fans of Floyd who see no wrong in whatever he does like Larold xxxx and the infamous vagina ros) when have you ever seen a fighter go in to apologize and while taking steps back hold his gloves up to protect himself? It's ok I'll wait....
Didn't think so.
At the post fight press conference Floyd was asked of he heard Cortez say the word fight an Floyds answer was he was taught to protect yourself at all times leading us o believe that if you have a braincell you would understand that he never heard Cortez say fight but he was going to cheap shot him anyways.
They want you to idolize Floyd for the performance. Was Floyd winning? Yes he was. Was he dominating him? No, Ortiz was in the fight, landing hard shots. less shots, but hard shots. I haven't heard anyone claim Ortiz was winning, we all acknowledge that floyd was ahead, but he was not dominating, period.
Thats a good post
I didnt see Floyd dominating
he may have won 3 of the 4 rounds up til the KO (I had it 2-1 FLoyd and Ortiz winning the 4th) but just cause he was winning the rounds doesnt mean he was dominating
they were close and competitive rounds
Ortiz was in the fight plain and simple
he was walking through Floyd punches
Dude just because u had Floyd winning all rounds doesntmean he was dominating . Vic was walking right through his punches. Vic was just immature and took a horrible cheap shot. It's amazing how u think Floyd was so dominant when he wasn't. U say u recorded it ok. Look at the 4th round again and look at floyds face in the two flurries leading up to the head butt. He gottagged 4 out of 7 punches and they were good punches. Were they going to knock him out of course not but Floyd felt them and he was starting to realize this young cat came o fight.

You guys heard Steward said "oh no" after the knockout. I like Steward as a commentator but when you hear him said that, the way he said it, it was like in disappointment on Floyd's action. Then on the last 24/7 episode, he was the opposite.
To me the whole ending is all on Ortiz if the first punch leveled Ortiz OK he got completely caught off guard I could see some blame.
But it was the second punch that leveled him and there was a delay as if Floyd was saying come on dude put your hands up I hit you once and I am coming for number two, and you know what he did he looked to the ref.
No matter what Cortez did he wasn't saving Ortiz from getting decked with that second blow, Ortiz on the other hand he could have stopped by moving away, putting his hands up, falling down, taking a knee, or I don't know falling in to hug Floyd again since he seemed adept at that.
I don't see how that is how a real fighter reacts, there was one guy who acted like a fighter on Saturday and it wasn't Victor Ortiz, to go further I don't know how that shows Ortiz would have made anything of that fight, it was about to get a lot worse for him more than likely Floyd was pissed after the head butt he was already in control of the fight and likely would have eviscerated Ortiz over the remainder of the fight.
My bad. I was mis-informed.
2 of the 3 had Mayweather winning the first 3 Rounds, though.
He still won all the Rounds including the 4th.

Floyd won fair and square thats all im saying, Ortiz should have had his hands up.
Ok so please show me one time that a boxer has Hugged another in an attempt to apologize and while walking back has his guard up. Just one it's ok I'll wait... Waiting...
no, they didn't

Ive never been a huge Floyd fan but he went UP in my estimations after that. It was gangster, Ortiz (who i was rootin for) violently butted him. I mean it was a bad one, real bad almost worthy of an immediate DQ. So Floyd tagged em. Was it classy? No. But it was legal and also Ortiz made it a classless fight as soon as he got rough with the head which was well before THE Headbutt. Flashing a goofy smile and going over the top with apologies dosnt change shiit. And there is a reason ur told to protect urself at all times...
Threatened? Because I say Mayweather dominated I'm threatened?
All the Rounds may not have been all out domiation's but Ortiz did not win a single round.
All 3 Judges had Mayweather winning every Round also. Just to add to that.
Ortiz wasn't game, really. He lost every round.
no, they didn't
I recorded the fight as it happened I have watched the fight over 20 times.
Mayweather won every Round.
The judges clearly don't feel that way. Especially Jerry Roth.
I suggest downloading and watching the replay.

lol, why do you feel so threatened by ortiz's chances in the fight?
only round he was dominated was the 3rd
ortiz was game whether you like to admit it or not :lol1:

Stuff kills me man, I've watched the fight 9-10 times already and not once was Ortiz ever in it. I hope Lampley didn't have you fooled man.
Floyds pot shots were not hurting Ortiz, Ortiz may have been losing but I also feel he could have pushed harder later in the fight and caught Mayweather. Maybe not for a KO win but to get himself back in the fight. I dont think Mayweather was as dominant as every says or thinks. He won the fight, dirty or not he won. But he earned no respect from anyone. Furthermore Ortiz shouldnt have even been in the ring with Mayweather complete mismatch. (young lion yes, inexperienced yes, big puncher yes little heart yes) against Floyd who is a ring technician with years more experience than Ortiz.
The ending of the fight was a complete joke, period. The most expensive ppv fight should never have ended like that. But even without the crazy ending, people act like Ortiz was not competitive, he was. He did alright. He was losing, but he was fighting good.
I don't get how any fan of boxing could come away satisfied with how the fight ended. When the Punisher fought Cintron & the fight ended how it did, that was not satifying to me because I thought Cintron was ahead. That's how I felt. I think Lara kicked his a$$. Just because I'm a fan of a fighter, I won't sit there & give them props when they don't deserve it.
But the worst part is when they say the fight was not competitive. Ortiz was not winning, but he wasn't getting sonned either. Compubox was horrible & the 1st combo's close to 17 punches Floyd threw in the 4th, none landed. Just an example of how bad compu box was. You know the human that's sitting on 1 side of the rings trying to count how many punches are thrown.

I still think if the fighters should be protecting themselves at all times the referee should also be paying attention at all times. Doesnt that make sense to anyone else? Hell how can Cortez say it was legal he wasnt even looking until Ortiz was down? And time in doesnt mean box from a ref. there is a difference those are usually 2 different commands.
Dont get me wrong floyds talented in the ring but his sportsmanship is far from being what it should be especially considering he's a world champion. He wants people to love him and to show him respect and give him credit well then try fighting cleanly and not putting out cheap shots in every big fight you have cause I mean this wasnt the first time we saw it he did it against Gatti, we saw it against Mosley ect.
Ortiz was dominated and lost every round clearly.
Stop trying to make your sh*t prediction less wrong than it was.
