Yo, so im in the process of booking tickets for this fight but I wanted to see who has been to MSG and if they have recommendations for seating.
Im looking at some fairly inexpensive tickets, around 70 (which is almost 100 after processing) and was eyeing 344, 326 and 318.
Im liking 344 because its on the opposite side of the TV platform.

Id appreciate any suggestions, even if they mean more expensive tickets.
Thanks
Hey is having seats behind the media aisle a good thing when it comes to seeing the fight in the ring?

The tickets I have are behind the press row at 08. Just wondering for your opinion about it.
if it's like any other venue I have covered you're fine
media sits in their seats watches the fights and does not make a ruckus
certain media also will only cover the big fights so it's usually somewhat empty until TV fights start
the place you never want to be is floor corners because you either deal with TV cameras, corner crew or ring posts
I've been numerous times..personally the 300s r terrible I payed 2 hundred something for my seats for this fight and I'm in the 100s ...just try n be str8 from center of ring not on an angle...personally having been to arenas all over the country for fights id have 2say msg is one of the worst if not the worst
I've been to a ton of fights but never right behind press. I'd imagine they would not be that good because you're virtually on the ground, you have to look up. It's like going to a football game. If you're in row 2 the players standing up on the sidelines will be in your way so you want to be like row 6 or 7 instead. Sometimes closer isn't always better.
Things I'd avoid is getting corner seats, especially if you're in lower bowl. I made this mistake when I went to see Alexander V Bradley. HBO usually has 4 cameras in all 4 corners so cameras often get in the way. Another thing is look at seating prices. For example at the MGM you might be paying 300 dollar ticket but if you move a few rows back you might fall into a 200 dollar section. A few rows can be the difference between 100s of dollars at boxing events.
I can't give a good answer about MSG seating but from seeing it on tv it looks like one of those old stadiums where the nose bleeds are very far from the action. Lower bowl(if you can afford)would be very ideal for this fight. Either way for 70 I'd go because the atmosphere is going to be electric. Think about it 60 bucks at home or 70 bucks for one of the best atmospheres in all of sports. Go to the fight at all costs.
Thanks for the tips. I was wondering why the tickets were so cheap for ringside tickets. Yea, they call those seats ringside for some reason. I am changing it for the 100's. Thanks again.
no not good, typically there's is a LARGE area reserved for the press. I would contact the seller and ask to have them swapped out if possible.
Cool, thanks for the answer. I will change it up to row 100. It'll cost more but I just want to have a decent view.
Damn, I gotta change my Donaire tickets too.
But isn't the press row basically all journalists sitting and typing on their laptops? Curious to hear why you say these are bad seats (My tickets are in Section 9).
One thing I hate about having seats up close is when people are getting in and out of their seats during the fight and are blocking your view of the fight, waiting for people to move so they can get past them to their seat. I figured I wouldnt have to worry about that, since most of the journalists just stay seated writing their stories, posting on twitter/facebook, etc...
yup all journalists problem is you have to seat behind ALL of them, who are usally typing away on thier laps tops and recording stuff. Plus like another poster said you are sitting behind them on ground level over looking all of them, at that point id rather be in the first set of seats on the 1st level up, over looking them and and eye level with the ring.
also depends on how large of a press row this will be too.
again this is just my opinion and some one might totally disagree with me

Why are you looking to purchase from a broker? Why not go to TM and buy at face value? Or was that just to show us the arena? I've never been to MSG, only Yankee Stadium for the Cotto fight so I can't help you out. Still undecided if I can afford to fly out for this fight although it is kind of important since I was at the first fight.

this! they want $1.7k for a seat i paid $650 for!
edit: im sure your friend wont regret shelling out for this fight!!! so far looks like a great undercard and the main event has fire works written all over it
ridiculous. where did you buy tickets?

try and sit on the sides as opposed to the ends
i saw cotto v clottey there and sat in 132 i think and you're still stuck watching it on the bigscreen, if you're in the 200-300 seating range i'd aim for the sides... thats the best i can tell ya man
I haven't been to MSG in many years, but i would highly recommend buying what ever tickets you can afford. I personally got ring side in section 12....
i would personally recommend the 100's section, if they are out of your range, try for the 200's. Anything higher and you will be renting binoculars and regretting it. Just my 2 cents!
A good call. I should have prefaced this with the fact that I am going with my friend who is not a huge boxing fan, so I feel bad asking him to shell out.
