Hey guys, great article flomos and pactards please read!!!!
P.S can someone copy and paste the article here for me. I'm doing this from my blackberry and it shuts down on me when I try.
http://fightfan.com/2011/09/enhanced-performance-the-natural-progression-of-manny-pacquiao-from-light-flyweight-to-welterweight/#more-18660
I really don't know how a lot of you can be so biased with your opinions.
Everyday on this site this threads discrediting floyd and threads discrediting manny. 2 of the best fighters in the past, I donno 20 years, guaranteed HOF and BOTH I think or in the top 50 of all time.
I am a big mayweather fan(inside ring) and big pacquaio fan.......both fighters are at fault for this fight not happening. Accusing a fighter of taking steroids is the new "small dog in bag" trend. Its ridiculous. The most insane thing is the flomos totally bashing manny saying he's on ped"s and that he is not that good.........Mayweather basically admits manny is special, that's why he says he wants a even playing field(you don't accuse someone of ped if there not doing remarkable things....period.
And the pactards out there bashing everything that mayweather does. Talking **** about court cases and ducking and all that.
Do you guys not see that both mayweather and pacquaio are to blame? That both have ducked at one time or the other and that both have somewhat cherry picked at some time or the other?
Come on guys, be a fan of the sport and use your OWN minds.
Smh, its like whatever the news/media/fighter says must br true......you guys are drones following ur leader
The growth argument is dumb. Now that this issue is settled both fighters should have absolutely no problem with a better standard of drug testing to ensure a fair fight to determine this eras greatest.
Cross posting from the duplicate thread of this:
People overlook the fact that PEDs aren't all necessarily about strength or speed. Things like blood doping (EPO) are all about endurance. I don't think so many cyclists are using PEDs so their legs can be stronger, they are using them for increased endurance. Boxing is an endurance sport.
People who make the assumption that the PED accusations are about size and speed are being naive. I have much more suspicion of Pacquiao for blood doping based on his insane endurance and work rates than I do for any type of anabolic steroids.
well pacquiao trains as hard as anyone in boxing, resulting to the insane endurance not to mention that he had great stamina since his youth...
well.. flomos think floyd's the cleanest boxer ever to walk the earth.. and there's nothing he can't do.. so they'd like to think that he can walk on water.. although, IMO.. if he try that sh|t in open seas, his @ss would be so much grass but flomos would just probably blame the sea for being a racist. :rotflmao:

this may be true
but it seems to me that when most boxers go on roids they tend to do worse
like vargas and mosley
Floyd took 4 yrs to go from 130 to 145 .
Manny took 8 mths to go from 130 to 142 in lean body mass .
Its not about age , its about how fast the gain happened , show me another fighter below MW that can go up in weight 12 pds and be shredded and one standing 5-6 lol , not saying it cant be done but its extremely unusual in only 8mths , enough so that it adds to the notion that he MIGHT be on something ,,, all he had to do was take the test and all is good , but he ducked it for 3 yrs , thats very suspicious all on its own , the whole PEDS thing is not black and white , its a compounding amount of circumstantial questions that can only be answered by just taking the OST testing , it should never have been a problem from the start .
Dude what are you talking about? don't forget that manny was weighing 140-145 on fight night in his last few 130 fights. He was just cutting a lot of weight. It did not take him 8 months fool, he was already in the 140's before that. you really think manny weight 130 when he was that old??? you're an idiot
If he's outweighed those guys by 5-10 pound on fight night, how is he not the naturally bigger guy?
so you want every match now for the boxer to have the same weight on fight night?
for the record, he outweighs them on the rematches, not on the first fight. and even that, doesn't fighters evenly matched if they both make the cut on the official weigh-in?
a naturally bigger guy is castillo against diego.. pbf against jmm.. victor against pbf and margo against pac..
^^ i think nature boy want to hang pac for going on a diet to fight in lower weights.. the way he post its a fscking crime for him.. using his logic, who else, who have done what pac have done in their whole career, could we fscking nail to the cross?
oh wait...! yeah..
All I'm saying is I like Manny, but being serious his resume is exaggerated. His hardcore fans can't make two separate arguments on the weight issue, which directly contradict each other. If he could have been a natural 135-140 fighter years ago, then that's where he should have been fighting. We could have already saw the Hatton, Cotto, or Mayweather fights at 140 4 or 5 years, and no one would be questioning his legacy or trying to defend it today. Now given the circumstances in which when he fought Hatton and Cotto, red flag are raised like I mentioned in my 1st post.
5yrs ago, he was written off gaainst the big guys.. these were just fantasy fights. how this big guys would walk past pac and submit him under a round or two.
but after the DLH fight, this fantasy became a reality. and for fight fans, became an obsession. fans want him to face bigger oppossition and bigger names. because they saw pac can hang on with the big boys even at a weight disadvantage.
there was a poll 3 or 4 yrs ago here and it was unanimous that pac can't hang with pbf. but after proving his worth, the gap became smaller.
why does the fans want it now, not 4 years before? its because these two cats were way above their competition today and all their opponents wouldn't have a big chance of beating them. that's why people are shouting for them to fight now..
keep in mind that when pacquiao was fighting at lower weights, he would rehydrate back up to a weight pretty close to where he's fighting now. so the muscle was always there, he just didnt have to drain himself to make weight anymore
floyd on the other hand, as never been one to rehydrate more than a couple pounds

The end/...........
Your basically saying it's Ok to give Manny all this credit for being a naturally bigger guy at featherweight because he beat three small future HOF's at their natural fighting weights? Doesn't seem that impressive if you look at it that way, but I'll give him credit for being lineal champs even if 2 out of the 3 were never part of the original 8 divisions of boxing.
:lol1:
you were not aware that pac was the one going up in weights on those fights, do you?
pac-MAB1; MAB was the lineal champ in 126, pac is the lieal champ in 122 beating ledwaba for the title
pac-JMM; @126, JMM holds the other belts and called himself the avoided one.
pac-EM; @130, pac goes up in weight in a non-title fight i guess.. EM was beaten by MAB for the title prior to the fight.
and the MAB fight was 2003.. never heard of outgrowing your division? you want a young boxer to stay on 1 or two division only? only pbf should be allowed to go up in weight when he grow old?
what has happen to NSB?

but you have to keep in mind that in 2005 when he was fighting these guys, nobody would think in a couple years this dude would be beating up margarito
that's why it stands out so much in people's minds, you just never saw him in the same category as those guys
it'd be like someone telling me that in 2016 gamboa will be fighting canelo or something
do you know how much those guys rehydrate at fight night?
pbf fight them all near his weight class.. oh wait, he just fought diego, temible and hatton on your list.. pac should be the one fighting the others.. :lol1:
yeah i was gonna say...diego would weight like 145+ in the ring when he fought at 130
Maybe, but if he was re-hydrating 15 pounds above the weight limit then he should have just moved up. That's creating an advantage more than a disadvantage imo. Corrales, CasaMayor,Juan Diaz, Freitas, Cotto, Casstillio, Hatton, and Mayweather were all fighting at 135 or 140 at the time. He could have had great fights at those weights, money fights.

How does that really build your legacy? How can we consider Manny being an ATG for dominating so called bigger guys in DLH, Hatton, Diaz, and Cotto, but also consider him an ATG for barley beating Marquez, losing to Morales, and dominating Barrera at the lower weight classes where he is also shown to be the naturally bigger guy?
:lol1:
beating the 3 people i mentioned would mean you were a certified HOF'er same as them.. ask yourself, would pac be given the cance to compete against the likes of DLH, Hatton and Cotto if he haven't fought the three mexican featherweight kingpins and beat them?
stop drinking the haterade, all boxing fans knows pac build his legacy on the lower weights and what he has been doing today was just an icing on the cake.
he was a lineal champ on 3 division aleady before going up in weights.
