I don't think Mayweather fans could afford the PPV fights. So, it didn't do so well. You know, it is a tough economy out there. Also, $70.00 was just too high of a price point. :arabia:

here's the total numbers that watched the floyd/ortiz fight: free streams = 1.5 million (Mayweather fans/flomos) movie theaters = 500k (boxing and casual fans) PPV = 600k (90% are mexican fans that want to see ortiz and canelo fights)

I'm sure it'll be over a Million. But I am kinda surprised the official numbers haven't dropped yet.

Where dem numbers at? Need to know if I'm planning the Comedian's funeral or committing ritual sepuku. The suspense... it's killing me. What is the damn hold up?

Canelo was the co-main event on the Mosley-Mora card...ALSO ON MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE WEEKEND. So, that gives us an excellent estimate of what Canelo is worth , ppv-wise. Same arena, same weekend. :D good point...

Has Canelo ever been on PPv? Ok........So why act as if he is the reason the fight should go over 1 miilion? Who would have paid ppv money to see Canelo vs Gomez without Floyd on the card? If this aint over 1 million id consider it a failure. I mean cmon they had Canelo as the co-main event. Dude is worshiped here in Southern California and Mexico Yeah. And Canelo has never sold more than 100K PPV's.

The real number that should be discussed is HOW MANY PPL WANTED A REFUND after the fight? LOL...I paid $70 for the HD version and I came away happy. I watched Floyd beat big mouth Ortiz easy and then knocked his punk a$$ out. Ortiz talked alot of crap before the fight and then got smashed on by Mayweather.

35 million Mexicans watch Alvarez's fight with Rhodes, Has that many Americans watched Floyd in his whole career? Is that mexican ppv? Hell no. If he was making alot money in mexico, then he would fight there and not in america. So having 35 million mexicans watch doesn't make you get rich. Fighting in America makes you rich.
