Everybody's a racist that brings up Manny's name to Floyd. It's how he deals with it.

He's not a racist. He was in love with Toney, Mosley, Leonard, Barrera, etc. He just can't hide his hatred of fighters he does not like for whatever reasons. For example he hated Hagler because he was a threat to Leonard(whom Merchant was slurping on) and he kept calling SRL out. Another example is when Forrest beat the 1 p4p Shane Mosley(another fighter he loves) at the time, Forrest said "I just beat the Michael Jordan of boxing!" and Merchant says something like "Just because you beat Michael Jordan doesn't mean you become Michael Jordan." And Merchant couldn't be happier when Mayorga KOd the late Vernon Forrest.
