Like a couple of the posters here have already said; there are some things you just don't see or get unless you've actually boxed.
There is nothing wrong with Roy stating that.
Its like saying a Gynecologist cant be a man because he doesn't have a vagina.
Its like saying that you cant be a Pediatrician if you dont have any kids.
Its like saying you cant be a Veterinarian if you never owned pets.
Its like saying you cant be a NFL analyst or scout if you never played in the NFL.
Its like saying you cant be a MMA commentator if you never competed in UFC/Strikeforce/Pride
the first 3 things you go to school for so i don't see your point their.
but nfl & mma analyst never question people that have actually participated in the sports the same way larry does. you would never hear joe buck question troy aikman when it comes to quarterbacks.

Pretty much....
I hate when fighters pull the "you've never boxed" card. Its attacking the arguer instead of the argument. A cop out.
Still, there are surely some things that you could only relate to if you have boxed before. I dont see anything wrong with Roy's ad hominem argument here.

It's true through. None of the commentary Larry makes during a fight is based on his own personal experiences.
