Could Ortiz really have made the count?

this boy stays in denial. berto is faster, he saw the punches comingbut didnt move. hahaha in fairness Berto hit him with some fast shots and knocked him down, mayweather didnt' come close to that (legally anyway)

I'm not so sure he was out enough to not make the count, ok he looked dazed but I think if he really wanted to he could have made that count (or gotten to his feet atleast), and then he was grinning after the fight. I wouldn't go as far as suggesting it was fixed, but I think maybe he felt so disheartened with not being able to land on Mayweather he knew if he continued he wouldn't have won anyway? more a passing theory than a believe so don't shoot me down if you disagree, but what do you all think? I think it was a giant payoff. I think Floyd tossed Ortiz an extra mill or so to let him get the ko and then they would do a rematch later on. Ortiz's entire camp was happy as could be...that was all I needed to see to know what the deal was.

Ortiz didn't stiffen his legs out, like that though, I'm not suggesting he didn't get knocked down, or would have fully made the count, but I don't think he tried to make the count as best he could have, that's all.

Cortez was counting really fast but Ortiz was hurt as fukk He took 2 huge bombs while unexpectingly, while his body was limp. So no i dont think he could have gotten up

Well obviously hes gonna make out now that he couldn't make the count but if u watch the fight he kinda makes it up to his knees then doesn't bother any further. I know there's been numerous occasions before where boxer's have done this, but something seemed up with this. Yupp the counts came in before Cortez even seen it, my heart sunk asoon as I saw he was the ref. I dunno.
