I did have him beating Clottey due to Clottey being Clottey late. Cotto has always been a big guy, but he didnt move higher up until recently. I mean your not gonna blame Floyd for JMM taking the fight and being blown up are you?
That’s why the fight was@145.
Go watch old cotto fights when he was at 140 he was a good fighter but he had a weak chin when he moved up to 147 and he took punch better. The pac fight reminds of the cotto @ 140.
legacy is shaped by how a lot of the key boxing figures choose to write about them, and "update" their status as time passes. . . i think manny's battles with morales, MAB, and JMM will have a HUGE impact on his legendary status; they were all good fights. . . i give manny a slight edge in opponents defeated, and his rise and subsequent obliteration of weight classes . . but still so much time to ultimately define and shape.
hopkins will probably always be favored by a lot of the old school boxing mentality type fans. . . if he keeps on winning for a few more years he just might overtake both manny and floyd.
cant argue with that
Cotto was coming off two epic beat downs were he looked like ****. He didn’t have a trainer in that fight so he had no game plan. Fight was made at 145 cotto was so weak in that fight every time pac landed flush cotto was hurt. He moved up to 154 for a reason.

Sorry, dont agree. I think Cotto was a very dangerous fight. I dont buy any of the "mentally beaten at that point". I could make that same point about ALOT of Floyds "Big Wins".

Floyd, Bhop, and Pac. Pac haven’t fought any dangerous opponent since jmm. Floyd and Bhop have been dominating for a long time now.
Pac has been dominating for a long time as well.
If Floyd has fought someone "dangerous" since Castillo. Then Pac has fought someone "dangerous" since JMM.

Floyd is bringing unwanted attention upon himself and will be remembered for the wrong reasons. BH will be remembered as a great boxer, but more for being the underdog and overcoming the odds. The guys he is underdog to arent that good though, like Tarver and Pascal, so its a kick in the teeth for BH and insult to BH.
Right now, Pac, Bhop, Floyd. It's pretty impossible for Bhop to surpass Pac at this stage in his career. mayweather could only do so by beating pac, and he will never fight him so i'll just leave him in third.
This is what i guess i consider the most.....Hopkins was never a MEGA star like Pac is, and i think that might cloud someones judgement when comparing accomplishments. Dont you agree that star power and being a media star creates more of an aura of invincibility, and takes a bit of rational away when comparing to someone like Hopkins?
as much as we love pacs resume and all, floyd seems very well known to the public so with that in mind i really think that there legacy may rely on beating each other, i know they have two different resumes but those two are forever linked with each other to the public eye, i'd say the winner of their respective 'bout the audience may judge heavily on, i dont know if thats fair either but just saying..
