Floyd was getting the best of Ortiz the whole fight. I saw Ortiz get frustrated cause he couldn't hit Floyd and he delivered an intentional headbutt. They touched gloves the ref called time and Ortiz got knocked out with a legal one,two... Floyd is the best at 147, after this fight I don't think Pac can win against him ... just my two cents.:boxing:
Do you honestly put this one alongside the brilliant Hatton KO? He was doing so well, why not destroy Ortiz when he knows he's fighting? Nobody's really saying it was illegal, but either don't hug, or hug and don't suckerpunch before said hug is broken up. Not Excusing Ortiz either.
Everything in bold sounds EXACTLY like my brother and I wouldn't put it past Mayweather to pull that off. I still think Pacquiao has a chance at beating Mayweather. My brother thinks it'll play out exactly like Márquez/Floyd with Pacquiao being slightly more competitive.
Manny just isn't on Floyd level... tru story...
That's pretty much how I saw it.
But please go back and look at these headbutts:
Round 2 @ 0:25
Round 4 @ 2:20
Round 4 @1:18
Round 4 @ 0:15
That is why Floyd starched Ortiz b!tch a$$
You're right, he was head butting him the entire night.
im surprised people cant already see how a pacquiao floyd fight would go
pacquiao would try throwing his jab, landing at an almost nonexistant rate due to his size disadvantage, and he'll try his leaping in combinations, but floyd would just put all of his weight on the back foot and pacquiaos combinations would serve only to gas himself out
takes a lot out of a fighter when youre hitting air, floyd doesnt even need to be particularly elusive, he'll just hop backwards as Pacquiao jumps in (off balance like he always does), and Floyd will nail him with pull counters and straight right hands
if Ortiz had a bit more experience and ring smarts the fight would have probably went 12, only because he's bigger than Floyd, Pacquiao is SMALLER than Floyd with a significant reach disadvantage
Floyd will jab/pull counter him to the point of frustration
I'm telling you right now, and people here who truly know how to dissect fights can critique me here , Pacquiao's punch output will be very un-pacquiao like because he wont be able to effectively get close enough to Floyd without getting tagged
Floyd stops Manny late, thats how I see it going

Why did you left behind and didn't mention some of Pac attributes missing in Floyd opponents. Pac has no problem with bigger opponents with longer reach and beat them in one sided fashion like Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Mosley and Margarito. These fighters were enjoying their size and reach advantages against Pac with no effect. You know why? because of Pac faster feet to close the gap to unleash his lightning fast combination then out once again using his fast feet. Now against Floyd, he may catch Pac when coming in but don't forget Pac has the chin to go with it and not afraid of getting hit just to land his own. If Mosley and Ortiz can land some pretty good punches specially Ortiz who able to corner Floyd in the rope to unleash his punches, just imagine Pac doing this unleashing his 7 punch combinations with full power. If Ortiz able to land some of his punches when Floyd against the rope, trust me Pac will do much better in every round for the next 12 round.
cortez was asking the time keeper if time was in. that was his main mistake...he should have called time in and then brought the fighters together...he would have had more control.
Yup, while he tells the fighters to fight, then checks for time in. Usually even Cortez says time in 1st, then tells the fighters to fight. Very convenient stuff right there. Hey guys start fighting while I go make sure time is in, I'll be back soon.
Superb, till the unneeded 2 piece sucker punches. After an overexaggerated headbutt & a ref that was paying attention to someone in the crowd instead of the fighters 2 feet away from him.

how do you think floyd looked?
i know you were on here predicting ortiz would be big trouble for floyd

I said the same thing- Floyd control of distance will cause great problem for manny with his short reach. I also see Manny getting stopped, not ko, but stopped due to his eyes being swollen and cut.
