I did a complete 180 on this kid last night.
SUCH a sportsman, even tho he head-butted.
We have to remember, Ortiz is friggin 24 year olds and he is fighting a sports legend on BY FAR the biggest stage he has ever been on. He got caught up in the moment and let his emotions get the best of him. That is ENTIRELY forgiveable
He was EXTREMELY apologetic afterwards.
And after he got Knocked out, and KNEW he has just been cheated by a scumbag, he was still all smiles and was extremely positive and opptimistic.
Not to mention his performance in the fight, which I thought was superb. Finally a Mayweather opponent that did what they said they were gonna do, and went for the KO. He was getting beat up, but he was digging deep and putting on a show. You gotta respect that.
How can you not like a kid like that. Ortiz is gonna be a big star and he's gonna do some good things in this sport. I wasn't a fan of his before last night, but im a huge fan now
What if that super head butt would have caused a massive cut on mayweather eye or broke his nose or something worse? Ortiz behaved like a scumbag and i dont want no apology after you try to inflict illegal punishment to me. Make sense? Although you could say May should have waited but you gotta be ready to throw down if you spit in someones eye
The ref should've DQ him.
Flomos can't understand that what Ortiz did was clearly a punk move yes but he was extremely remorseful about what he did, while floyd did the same ***** move that he's done his whole career and brags about it. Doesn't take long to figure out who's the a classless piece of crap and who is a true sportsman. Ortiz big mistake however was going on apologizing in a very moronic way and expecting his opponent to show the same level of class.
People who hold your opinion just do not make sense to me.
Ortiz made a VERY forgivable mistake, especially when you consider he apologized like 5 times within 10 seconds, hugging and kissing Mayweather and everything.
Mayweather on the other hand, did some PUNK ass scumbag sh!t that is so unforgivably unsportsmanlike is almost unimaginable.
After the KO and the Merchant interview i remember thinking that there is no WAY that mayweather fans are gonna defend this ****, but i CANNOT BELIEVE how wrong I was.
Mayweather fans are just as dumb as he is. How could anybody be a fan of such a scumbag. Who can call that win legitimate?!
Unreal man, unreal

So dog out the one guy that didnt do anything illegal and the one that committed a foul is off the hook? Are you fucckin insane?

Unfortunately this is boxing, you can't have that approach. Ortiz won't go very far from here with his softy personality, you are trying to hurt the other guy and KO him, not make friends.
Berto may be his biggest win in his career, Ortiz is another mental midget like Zab Judah. I see his career going down the same path as Judah's from here on out.
