Naw. He wasn't as accurate as he usually is. He only landed 35% of his total punches, and 49% of his power punches. He didn't really landed his jabs accurately tonight and that's why his total punches connect% was 35%. However, he showed a great display of fighting smart aggressively by fighting in long range.
That's because of the first couple of rounds. The last 2 rounds his percentage was 42% and 40%. If the fight went the distance we would have seen the usual high punch percentage.
lol wtf Ortiz landed like 6 punches a round and Mayweather landed 50% of his power shots :lol1:
He really is held to a much higher standard. Impressive after 16 months out for any fighter.
He looked sharp to me, especially considering the layoff. .
Floyds lay off dont mean a thing. He trains like a demon all year round and most fighters dont fight that regular to make a difference.
Plus Floyd fights slow fighters so time out of the ring dont make much difference. Only thing that could be a concern is he isnt fight fit (so he sucka punches so it dont go into the late rounds) but he still has all the skills and abilities.
He looked sharp to me, especially considering the layoff. Ortiz did have a few moments but nothing spectacular. Unfortunately the fight didnt go long enough for me to see too much.

ortiz barely landed anything i think people want to believe mayweather is slowing down but he still looks quick to me
he can move more if he chooses he knew he could win fighting that way so he did it
The layoff was evident. he was even flat footed at times. he definitely looked vulnerable. Although he did look good when he attacked a guy not defending himself.
don't give me that compubox nonsense. he landed a good number of straight left hands to floyd's head and body. you are not in tune with reality. you probably think calzaghe landed 220 punches on hopkins because compubox says so. keep believing that sheep.
Your ignore list dont help your dumb ass in here , you whinging pom you cant even look at a fight and see what actually happens , its on video your moron and Ortiz landed sweet fuk all ,,,,,, go and watch the fight in slow motion you might have half a clue then !

Not really D.
It only seemed like more because Lampley kept having an orgasm every-time Victor landed one.
it's obvious to everyone who knows boxing that floyd's weakness to southpaws (if he even has a "weakness" which I don't think he does) is the right hand of a south paw, not the straight left hand
Corley and Judah's big shots on Floyd were the SP Right Hook
seriously the right hook? that makes no sense. look at how he holds his arms. it's clearly the straight left. he has nothing protecting him but his chin. ortiz caught him a bunch of times with the left as he was standing there or pulling back. corley and judah caught him with many more straight lefts than right hooks you just don't remember.
Yea I been looking at these fourms for a while, finally decided to post
yea I was on the EA forums before I decided to make an account here.
People really don't know boxing there.

He was dazed from a KD and still managed to not get clean after that. Pacquiao couldn't cut the ring off. It's as simple as that. Watch how mayweather cut the ring off vs Mosley. Go watch the sport and come back to me.
He was in survival mode.
I could care less about cutting off the ring, it was obvious Mosley had no chance after the KD, so he ran and didn't want to engage.
Mosley kept engaging with Floyd he could take his power.
Go watch it again and come back to me with something logical other than cutting off the ring.
Who's talking about Pac vs. Mosley?
We're talking about the punches that Ortiz landed cleanly. The only clean punches he landed were straight lefts. Something that Pac is especially known for throwing.
Could it be that Floyd's weakness against Southpaws is the straight left? Maybe.
All I know was that he got hit with them flush and that's pretty much all he was getting hit by from Ortiz.

ortiz was landing his straight left to the head and body at a reasonably high percentage. floyd's defense against the straight left still is not very good. i just watched all the exchanges in slo-mo and this is coming from the same guy who thinks/knows calzaghe landed nothing but air the whole fight.

"slick"
LOL the dude was in survival mode after the knock down.
He ran like a ***** all night after than knock down.
Hardly slick.
