Watching his fights is Victors offence on a ATG Scale?
His punches come at a high speed with power behind them. He has knocked down EVERY opponent down he has ever faced as a pro. Which is very impressive.
He really has vary of different & extremly dangerous punches. Hook, Uppercut, Cross.
He throws them with bad intentions and is extremly accurate.
Ortiz offence is really something. His defence and head movement aint much do.
He is very close to it. If Ortiz learns to not square up when he lets the power fly, he'll be even better. He didn't say he was atg, he's talking strictly offense. In that sense Ortiz is very close.
When I think of truly great offensive fighters,I think of fighters with a well-rounded variety of punches, that can put them together in a fluid and precise manner, mixing up to both the body and head.
I wouldn't put Ortiz and his hesitant, pawing jab in that category, personally.Credit to him for smacking the sh^t out of Andre Berto, though - I'm genuinely grateful to him for that.
I've been saying something along these lines for years... but I wouldn't go as far as him having an ATG offense.
Ortiz does have one of the best offenses in boxing today. His 2,3,4,5 combinations are rarely seen from southpaws, especially on the inside. The right uppercut from the southpaw stance is so rare and he uses it effectively in combination with his right hook.
He'll continue to prove it this weekend by landing more punches than Mosley and Marquez combined against the best defense in boxing.
Floyd best stay out the ropes, he can definitely make this fight alot easier if he does that.
Im pretty sure he's naturally right handed, I can tell by his movement around the ring. Therefore, since I think he's a natural right hander, its typical for such to have strong right hands.
Yes he is. He knocked down Maidana with those right hooks and knocked down Peterson with the right uppercut. His left is quite weak in comparison but he can punch with both hands.
As others have said, that right hook and uppercut really is quite 'vicious' and Berto had to be knocked down in the 1st to find out. Most fighters don't expect such a southpaw

Yes he is right handed..they've said this numerous times
No, what he has is a VERY good right hook, right uppercut combination and it works so well because normally most southpaws don't even have a right hook. That combination is lethal, but he doesn't have ATG offense. He needs to work on his left hand in my opinion.
yep thats what catches my eye.nice combo

Same here, I think so too.

Everyone keeps saying that, but he didn't knockdown Mike Arnoutis.... False information....
And to answer ur question, and anyone else, I'd imagine it would be... But on Ortiz, definitely not
