So is this the 'comp' offer people spoke off for May-Ortiz in LV?: https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=001&host=promo&code=MGMMVO&ad=9/12/2011&night=3
this seems more like a promotion than anything else. But it's indicative that sales this weekend are lagging a bit this weekend..
Pacquiao fights in Las Vegas never have promotions or offers like this.

$600 bucks for 2 tix and hotel? Wtf thats cheap...
Reeks of desperation. Like 2 weeks ago, there was a short article by a boxing scribe (forgot who) describing how there were whole rows still available and ticket sales were at a standstill. It's a clever marketing ploy to move the empty seats and get people in the hotel/casinos and gambling.
Hell of a f*cking deal though.
Interesting that IMHO this fight will be one where Floyd gets pushed to the brink, maybe even lose, but its also the fight with the least buzz.
I mean, everything is right with this fight, except for the little fact that Ortiz is not Pacquiao. Still, as a comeback fight, its actually a great, great matchup. And even if it werent a comeback fight, its still what we want from boxing, top guys fighting each other.
I still see this fighting outselling the last 3 Pacquiao fights.

You can even stay at my house, 2mi West of MGM...
What do you think FRIEND?
He's Asian and reporting on a Mayweather subject? Hard to take him seriously.
that mean that black people can't be taken seriously when reporting on Pac?

Have fun....
Doesn't matter, that's what happens when you fight the best available, and not just the biggest names. The best may not be Ppv attractions or big ticket sellers such as Martinez or Ortiz.

well i doubt he'll be taking any knees or running backwards in the ring for no reason at all just to take another knee
at least cotto had the balls to fight pacquiao and margarito! oh yeah floyd is still duckin cotto because he lives in puerto rico :boxing:
But this does not translate into sales anymore in terms of 24/7 being a boost.
Are you following the fantasy football league and the beating I'm giving you?
Ckheck hooks is a clown but his point makes some sense. Floyds antics for this fight haven't been funny. The chicken stuff with ODH was classic, but the argument and the Vic is gay stuff just isn't.
I hear its rough out in vegas too. Tourism is off somewhat this year with the recession and all.
