How great is Duran to be the only boxer ever to win fights in 5 different decades?

He was my favourite boxer way back then. Is he the only boxer to lose in 5 decades as well though?

The man is a legend. Not trying to downplay it but when that is read it kinda makes it sound like he fought for 5 decades. 50 years. Not true. He had his pro-debut in 1968 and last fight on 2001 so thats 33 years. that still a long time man

that means they were fighting to age close to 60, which is terminaly dangerous, definetly something special and not really easy to do in almost any other sport...

This is something I did not know and it blew my mind when I read it! Duran is the only man in boxing history to win fights in 5 separate decades. He registered wins in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and the 2000s. Wow! Now that's just frickin amazing! Once upon a time, people believed Roberto Duran would never retire. People were starting to believe this man was immortal. Witnessing Roberto Duran you literally felt the presence of one of the greatest fighters of all time. What a fighter.

Arguably top 10 ATG, arguably the GOAT at LW. Beast, awesome fighter, underrated IQ and counter punching ability. Arguably top 10.. What makes top 10 atg different from top 10 p4p? Imo he's an easy top 5 p4p and arguable 3.
