Vitali makes the 7th defense of the WBC title against Polands Tomasz Adamek who has homefield advantage.
The fight will be shown on german RTL and danish TV2-sport in Europe.
Adamek jabbed the body, moved his feet and head and landed some good punches. I cannot see what kind of tactic he could have used that would make him fare better. More aggression would have been suicide IMO.
Adamek was going to his left 95% of the time. I guess I see it differently and saw some things that could had made the fight more competitive for him. He is not a KO artist so he had to have Vitali reacting to him to get him out of his game and tired.
I can enjoy a boxing match and not call it boring
Final CompuBox stats had Klitschko landing 230 of 608 punches (38%) compared to Adamek's 89 of 301 (30%).
Anyone has the fight's total power punch stats?
As much skill that Adamek does have I expected a different tactic. Not questioning his heart or his commitment.

Adamek fought his chance and doing everything a smaller man must do. Saying he coulld have done more is ridiculous. Adamek gave his all and went out on his shield.

100% Spot on.
Was I the only person who wanted to see Vitali carry/beat him till the 12th before finishing him?
Vitali looked like he was bored, wasnt even trying. He wobbled him in the 1st round from the very first right hand. I think Vitali was trying to get it to 11th or 12th and just KO him.
I wanted 2 more rounds!
I disagree. Vitali threw a huge amount of right hands many of which landed hard. Give Adamek credit for heart and great chin instead.
Adamek could had made it more competitive. It is not impossible to get close, jab your way in and make him turn in a tight left angle. Not saying that he would had beat him but damm make a fight instead of staying and waiting outside

vitali is so damn big it's impossible to do any damage from the clinch, and getting inside is just crazy vitali kept his hands to his side the entire fight waiting for adamek to come inside so he could punish him

Adamek never tried to get inside, he kept moving to Vitali's right. Recipe for disaster, Adamek has a great chin and skills but never got started.
Vitali did what he had to do to win

Vitali's defense is ridiculous. He has his hands below his waste 75% of the fight and kept such good distance Adamek couldn't even hit him.
Seriously he is pretty f*cking amazing.
He is. He'd be hard to beat in any era.
