I was so impressed by vitali at teh weigh in. for a 40y old, he look is amazing shape for his fight. it puts in perspectivr to other heavyweight challengers especially from states like chambers, arreola, toney, rahman, austin, briggs, who are all in pretty awful shape. even likes of solis, tyson fury, all carry alot of fat.
Vitali were basically fat free yesterday.
he will probably fight Haye and Valuev then retire.
He never used performance enhancers though. He was recovering from a knee injury and were supposed to go to olympics. Dr prescribed him corticosteroids(not the stuff to make you buff, but an amazing inflammation killer. Though they are rarely prescribed in the states, because we have much better medications now, they are often used in poorer countries like Ukraine as a best alternative for joint and muscle tissue recovery) and when he was questioned and tested for steroids, he admitted to using the stuff doctor prescribed him. Doping comission does not differ wether you used steroids to run faster, or to heal your leg so thats how Vitaly's road to olympic ended.
I doubt this could be unethical in any way.
If all this is true, and I have no reason to believe it's not, nothing more needs to be said on this subject.
This is ridiculous. Both brothers, especially Wlad, win fights due to their skills. Of course they're well conditioned, but they wouldn't win fights in such emphantic fashion if their only (or main) advantage was just superior conditioning. They're simply much better tactically and skill-wise than the majority of their opponents. In some cases power, size or toughness might come into play, but if you're going to single out just one thing that puts them on top it's this: they're better than the rest.
Naturally, the brothers' skills are at the top of their list of attributes, but you're seriously under-appreciating the value of their conditioning. Athletic conditioning allows a fighter to employ their skills at maximum efficiency. What's more important in a car: the engine or the transmission? Most people would say the engine; but if the tranny is shot, the engine can't move the car by itself.
Years ago, I read a book that featured interviews with many former world champions. I remember being impressed with how often the champs cited conditioning as vital to success. There's little doubt in my mind that the Klitschkos would not have reached their level of achievement if they didn't have the same work-ethic and conditioning. They're the foundation.

no way haye fights him lol. maybe he signs a contract but there's no way he goes through with it. he barely made it out of his dressing room against wladimir
i think he's done boxing
at least done boxing klitschkos
and valuev vs klitschko would be one half sideshow (valuev's half) and one half clinical asswhooping (vitali's half)

vitaly admitted to using steroids
Apparently Jones, Mosley and many others have done steroids, some people are naive here when it comes to performance enhancing drugs. I'm not accusing you, but you just reminded of how some people think.

This is probably the best attribute to the Klitschko brothers is their conditioning. Most of the heavyweights of today don't train well and it is clear from their appearance and performance. I won't say that don't work hard, but they don't work hard enough and they don't do enough endurance training and fast-twitch muscle endurance training. Because the Klitschko brothers train in those areas along with a style that waste unnecessary energy, their size gives them the ability to dominate. They will continue to dominate until the other get realistic about being the best. I think Haye trained correctly but he isn't as mentally confident as he claimed. If he was, it would have been more realistic with an injured toe that he went for a KO in every round. Instead he fought like he left his scrotum in the locker room. That basically tells me that Haye is confident in his hurting skills but not confident is ability to take a punch or he is simply scared of getting hit.
I think the Klitschko brothers are good and the best in this era hands down, but they have more to prove to down in the ATGs list of heavyweights. IMO...Vitali shouldn't waste his time with the Jolly Russian Giant. There is no money in that fight...it would be an easy win for him...and it wouldn't be exciting at all, nobody wants to see that. It would be much better to get a fight that would raise his stock on the ATG list. James Toney (future Hall of Famer) or a rematch with Lennox Lewis (Future Hall of Famer) is much better for him. We know that he won't fight his brother but this would be epic if he did. That's a fight win, lose, or draw that would go down in fight history and everyone would be at the edge of their seat leading up to the fight until the last bell.
Arreola finally got serious about his career, but you wonder much better he would have been with the same work ethic throughout his career.
Solis makes me mad. He has so much talent but he's about 20 pounds over what he should be for his size. I see that as wasting your talent, if you can't make that final commitment for what is a pretty short career in terms of making money and retiring unscathed.
I agree he is very talented, though wasn't Solis close to 270? (probably around 300 or more now lol) 270 is ridiculous, 40-45lbs too much IMO. Nice to see the likes of Tyson Fury changing their habits & coming in in better shape though I don't rate Fury too highly myself :)

Arreola isn't that obese anymore and Shannon Briggs is in amazing condition for a 40yr old man, if anything he has too much muscle mass, though his stamina problem was down to him having stamina.
Steward has said many times that what sets the Klitschkos apart from all the other HWs is their athleticism and their work ethic. He said it was the biggest difference between the US HWs who turn up out of shape wearing their ipods and taking their training too casually.
