Maidana is a ***** for ducking him, yet Khan wants to fight someone that is about to be given a belt and he's a ***** for fighting an old corpse? Kinda hard to win for Khan. McCloskey, Morales, Peterson are all opponents that don't bring much threat to Khan. I would really like to see him handle Matthysse or hopefully Prescott if he can pick up a win. They are the real fights and Khan and his team know it, but seem to prefer the guys who simply can't punch as hard. Khan has been in with 2 big punchers, he got stopped by 1 and rocked badly by the 2nd, so i don't see a 3rd big puncher being allowed into the ring with Khan anytime soon. Shame as he needs the experience fighting guys like that if he wants to be a genuine star and not one made half in the marketing room and half in the ring. Once he moves up to 147 having scalps like Matthysse and Prescott would give him great confidence, at the moment it's all false hope with only 1 win over Maidana giving him confidence and even that fight still haunts him.

i think Maidana missed a golden oppertunity herew but you have to see it from his teams point of view and im sure that Maidana himself would have snapped up the fight this is a buisness abd it would be foolish to jump in the ring in a tough fight with just ten days notice, Maidana is a potential goldmine and you dont wana devalue that by taking a gamble, there is enough corruption surrounding this anyway, could easily see some dodgy judging in this fight.
