Do you think Ortiz is telling the truth about his past?

wow what an amazing post ...green k sent since where on life stories i was born to an incarcerated mother on rikers island (nyc jail) 23 yrs ago she was just released from prison this past feb she served 24yrs 6 months so yes i was born in prison i have no father never seen met or herd from him or even a photo grew up in a ****ty neighborhood on welfare i=with my elderly grandmother was sexual abused moved to an elderly aunts house when i was 12 was emotionally abused not fed and left to fend for myself for meals/clothes./money until i ws old enough to work i was thrown out of a couple schools finally graduated highschhool had to leave college to work been in constrution for 5 years now running a small company making about 50k a year own a beautiful new car have great credit and am paying my own way through nightschool with th money i earn ALL THANKS TO THE GOOD OLD ..U.S.A!!!!!!:usa2::usa2::usa2: IMAGINE IF IW AS BORN IN LETS SAY...MEXICO ..CUBA ...CHINA/???? ID BE DEAD!!!!!!! bad ass sh!t sounds cheasy but a guyn told me if u can dream it u can do it :) only in america

lol i was raised by two parents - married for 33 years before my pops passed away (RIP pops!) My dad had a good job as a lawyer for the government - worked for the embassy/department of state - lived in like 6 different countries - moved permanently to the states at age 12. I had an AWESOME CHILDHOOD. . . lol that's why i don't have any excuses for making the mistakes i made in highschool and early college years. . . but im doing good now - 1/2 way TO MY JURIS DOCTORATES DEGREE BABY! Ima be MY OWN BOSS - have my own secretary and all that **** before im 30. Most Americans are abandoned by their parents?..naahh that's far from the truth, maybe by ONE parent, but both?..hardly.. the only thing I wonder about and with him being Mexican is, where was the rest of his family?..I mean surely the Dad or Mom had to have a sister or brother who would take the Ortiz boys in...I just don't see how an entire family can turn their back on a 7 and 5 year old..I have a 8 and 5 year old now, and let me tell you these boys would not survive out here..lol

I think he might be OVER EXAGGERATING...A LOT to build up sympathy for himself, not sure if he is completely lying but some of his stories are not adding up and for him to continue to say "When I was 9 I said I was going to be the first to beat Mayweather" clearly somebody haven't gotten to him and told him that the Math is not adding up, Mayweather wasn't even a Star yet when Ortiz was 9 lol the age difference is only 10 years :no: he is embarrassing himself every time he says that

either way, i don't find it to be a very interesting story. it's pretty common amongst boxers. alot of them grow up hard, being poor, living in the ghetto, broken homes etc. is ortiz' story really any different than edison miranda's? and who knows how many boxers there were that didn't make it to the big leagues who went through the same exact thing.

Yes but I think he is trying to glam it up with big words. He must have seen Roger Huerta's sappy story. Fact is. Most americans have the same story he and huerta have.

I dont know. But what I do know is Ive heard the story that many times I feel like I was his mother that abandoned him..

Some of it, yes. Most of it, no. His story has to many flaws.
