Lets see who has actually even visited a boxing gym TO TRAIN..NOT TO WATCH.....cause i hear a lot of Sh1t talking but most of it lacks actual boxing knowledge
Matthew Hilton taught me what a true left hook was, Matthew had the most powerful left hook in those days. He use to destroy a big punching bag in just a few rounds... HW boxers were not even punching a hole in that bag...
I also had a pro trainer, who trained only pros, i was very fortunate to learn how to boxe from him. In only 1 month, i got better. A great trainer really makes the difference.
Good **** man..im gonna record some of my training and put it up ive had a camcorder for awhile and never used it might as well dedicate it to boxing scene.
Thanks bro. Looking forward to it.
Here are some old videos (from 07) of me skipping rope. I was fresh out of college. I used some of Floyd's moves with the rope.

Trained at the Anaheim PAL. Sparring partner was the winner of the 2000 Silver Gloves, Ismael Rosas. Shotgun matches @ Cache Gym in Vernon and Shibata Flores gym in LA.
training for 1-2 years... nothing too serious. sparred regularly... work got hectic so i cut back. i work with a management firm that represents various fighters (mma)... wasnt an mma fan, but after being surrounded by top name UFC fighters, i respect them more... but NOTHING beats boxing at its best.
mma fighters employ boxing coaches & have LOTS of respect for boxing.
LOVE BOXING.
To answer, I had boxing training when I was a young boy...very young boy. I never had a fight but the older I got, the more I got back into boxing. I played football throughout high school and college and did alot of boxing workouts. About a year and a half ago, I was in the gym with a former fighter (Arthur Jimmerson) and we trained with him. Heavy bag, mitts, body bag, jump rope, stuff like that. I still hit the heavy bag after football practice at my job when I have time.
Never been trained, watched some vids and knew a guy who boxed...I like boxing training techniques though, great for weight loss and cardio. But I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night though.
Best post in the thread!
:lol1:
Been training for years and still train 5 days a week. Technically I suck but I make up for in in aggression and will power until some kid 15 years my junior takes me to school in sparring which happens quite a lot and then i just have to stand back and admire how good some of the kids are today.
Boxed for years n years, haven't had fights because of numerous injuries at the wrong time that put me out for a while, hopefully will soon.
ya i feel the same way they call fighters cowards but have never been in the ring i can't stand that sh*t
Trained for 6 years. Won a london title in the national schoolboy championships.
Half the c*nts on here that talk **** about other fighters haven't once stepped foot in the ring.
they are cowards themselfs thats why they talk shiet. they want to be fighters but dont have the balls so they call real men cowards to feel better about themselfs, while doing so over the internet keeps them nice and safe.
its pathetic really.
I boxed in college for a few years and for a while when I was in the UK. The gym I trained at in the UK had the number 7 ranked WW in the UK and some other pretty impressive fighters. I really enjoyed the training and boxing is one of my biggest passions, but at the end of the day I simply lost too much weight when I was training to meet my other physique goals.
I think the biggest thing that people who have never stepped in a ring don't realize is just how much getting hit hurts. I remember my first time sparring in the UK they put me in with a guy that was 195lbs and I was around 170lbs. I boxed circles around the dude but the first time he hit me with a straight right I was shocked at how much I felt it, and that was with 16oz gloves on haha.
Trained a few months in a boxing gym when I was much younger, did a bit of sparring. Now I train Shaolin boxing nearly everyday and have been doing it for three years now.
