Zaveck before and after the 5th round

Yeah the rate of damage on Zavec was extremely insane with a deep cut above the right eyelid. Almost like he was fighting a heavyweight, or the opponent had loaded gloves. Because I haven't seen anyone so badly damaged after a Berto fight before. Even moreso because Zavec was actually blocking those shots pretty well. Not that Berto landed a lot of clean shots. It was one or more headbutts that caused this, but for some reason the REF in the ring didn't see it (it wouldn't really change anything even if he did). Although I don't blame him because that happened really fast. The GIFs are probably 5-10x slower.

Kinda sad that Zaveck lost ;( You have to feel bad for Zaveck. He was so upset about the fight being stopped, and its definitely not like he was being outclassed, it was a very close and competitive fight. Regardless where the cuts came from, I would very much like to see a rematch. I remember being pretty shocked that Zaveck's face was so messed up as I was watching the fight. All that damage seemed to come out of nowhere, and that was a very deep cut.

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. Instead of coming with guesses and assumptions, why not see the fight for yourselves? There were no headbutts occurring on his eye-region when Zaveck got cut. Watch the replay. And do it again. It's clear that it's a left hook and a right uppercut that made those cuts. Roy even mentions it during the replays. Some of you posters in here....seriously.

Look at that post that someone wrote about HBO forcing Berto and Russell on us someone put a video of Berto Head butting the Zaveck in the 5 th round did it Ward style I guess that trip to Oakland did him good.

I had Berto winning the fight but I felt the fight was competitive. I don't feel like we got a real result with how the fight ended(a clear winner). Lewis ended the Vitali fight because of a punch, while Berto's head ended the Zaveck fight. If you had Berto winning the fight at the time of stoppage then you did in fact have a clear winner.. Thats the name of the game.... Be ahead at all times, the fight can be stopped at any time after 3.

You know what the hell I was saying reed, we know earlier Berto opened a cut up on Zaveck's right eye. But Berto made the cut much worse when he headbutted Zaveck in the 5th round. That doesn't change the fact that alot of the users posting here and I feel that Berto made it much worse with the headbutts. If not for the headbutts the fight would have still went on. Berto ****ed him up bad before that butt ever took place... The butt gave excuser whistleblowers a reason to speak up... The truth of the matter is... He was getting his ass beat regardless. Im not saying he didnt put in his own work, but Berto was clearly outhustling and outdamaging him.

There's a gif image online that shows Berto rushing in with his head and than Zaveck starts to bleed. They should force a rematch but they won't because Haymon fighters get special treatment. A headbutt did all that..? The followers door is that way ------>

It was a headbutt that busted up Zavec's right eye. I mean its pretty obvious. Idk what happened with his left eye it could have been a punch but the right eye was obviously a headbutt.

Berto's a dirty fighter.bear hugs you and all that additional ****.he was gassing out after the 4th.no way he was going to make it to the 12th.he'll get exposed once again and let's hope he goes back to making minimum wage in boxing

No it made the cut worse and caused the swelling Now show us the uppercuts that caused it I can't find the fight on youtube but right after that Berto landed a couple of uppercutts and just before the 5th round ended Berto caught him with a flush left and Zaveck looked a little hurt those are more likely reasons of the cut being that bad then them barely banging heads with 1:10 to go in 5th.

what more likely that a phantom headbutt that no one posted could do that much damage or the accumulation of uppercuts and left shots Zaveck was eating for 5 rounds did that damage? how many times did we see Zavec in a Clottey like shell defense and Berto catching him with an uppercut Gifs of the headbutt are all over the forum Its those phantom uppercuts that nobody can get a gif of Zaveck was in the shell defense all fight long and i showed you his face before the 5th and then after the 5th. Berto did nothing more in that round that he didnt do in the other rounds, yet Zavecks face was beat up in 1 round
