okay so zavec lost...

Just watched it again in HD. Really good fight, good showing by BOTH fighters. Definitely punches that busted up and opened up Zaveck's face. No headbutts, no controversy. Berto really put a whoopin on him in the last half of the 5th. Good stoppage. Zaveck knows how badly he is injured in the corner, he screams out in frustration over it, and at one point when they have an endswell over his right eye, a panicked look comes over his left eye that tells me he could not see out of that one either.

It was a high-intensity compelling fight, pity it couldn't have gone on for a few more rounds. Maybe they'll see sense and order a rematch, can't see it though, the man they wanted to win walked away with the belt. Liked the Slovenian fans, there weren't that many of them but they made a lot of noise and you can tell if there were more of them the place would've been rockin. the rematch will never happen, although after this uncompelling ending zavec sure would be worthy of one. it screams klitschko-lewis all over. slovenia fans are greatest yes. i said yesterday it's gonna be loud in biloxi. vent fukken hell berto got that straap too easy. zavec better find a new cutman, and consult some pro dermatologists. it's pointless to train hard, put that work behind then your face gets.exposed like that. maybe call vitali and ask how he fixed this problem lol. end vent

It was a good fight. If the fight would've continued it really would've been interesting in the final rounds. It didn't look like either guy was being hurt tremendously by the power shots being thrown. Many landed flush on both guys and they kept coming forward. I'd like to see Zaveck again but realistically it most likely will be the last time he's on American TV.

zavec better get another appearance on HBO. . . He doesn't have world class power, but he is faster then some people thought, and he has a nice tight guard that he can transition into offense from. he was definitely worthy of being a title holder. he should get a rematch, but no way berto's team will grant him one. he made a fan out of me, and i can't wait to hear what's next for him. ...yea I wouldn't mind watching another one of his fights

He should really get a rematch. But he wont. Agreed, I think he would have stopped Berto. Zavec was tough and Berto's defense is azz. I will say I am not a fan of his corner though.

He handled himself well in the ring and it was a good fight for as long as it lasted thanks to both fighters as to wether he fights in the US again wouldn't be against it

man, zaveck was awesome. he really showed he wasn't there to hand over no belt. and he was getting some good shots in the last couple rounds, it's a damn shame his eyelids got cut up like that. i wouldn't mind seeing a rematch go down. i think with berto's body shots possibly taking a toll on zaveck, and berto tiring along with zaveck's shots landing more, it would've been a tough fight for both guys, making it seem like it'd be a close fight. i hope he fights in the US again, i'd like to see more of him. hope he gets some top WW fights or a shot at berto again.

I thought he looked pretty good. I always hate when fights end like that but hey that's boxing for you.
