Honestly I wouldn't want to see Haye retire simply because he's a good prime heavyweight with a unique combination of physical traits that will make for exciting fights in the future. But if his heart's no longer in the game then there's no point in his sticking around. Either way no skin off my back.
" who could beat Haye? I really don't care "
Then stop wasting my time.
The question was..... " I personally have a hard time listing him as even a top ten HW ".
Wasting your time? Do you really think you are that important? And I actually answered the question about the top ten in a previous post. And if you think I am wasting your time, it's a simple process don't respond. However, I will respond.
I have to ask when did I ever state that Enzo Macc would beat the Beast, or are you just making things up? What I said was that Enzo Macc was the only in his prime world class fighter that Haye has beat, and that ain't saying much. And if you disagree with that tell me why.
As far as Holyfield beating the Beast I think the fight was closer than the Haye-Valuev but I still don't believe Holyfiled won. With that said I am and always was a huge fan of the "Real Deal" and I still don't think he won. But, lets say I do agree with you and Holyfield did in fact win the fight, what does that say about Haye? When Holyfield, a fighter who had not won a meaningful fight in more than a decade, was able to fight and look better against the Beast than a in his prime Haye. Pretty sad for a supposed top ten heavyweight in the world if I do say so myself. And I am not totally closed minded because I will listen to an argument about Holyfiled winning the fight. But, as far as Haye doing enough to win I didn't see it the first time nor the several times that I forced myself to watch that horrible excuse for a fight since.
I have to be honest and say that I am not sure what fight you were referring to as far as Haye's jab so I can't respond. And if I can I am going to regress for a moment.
I did say that I had a hard time rating Haye very high and that was a statement not a question. And than you asked me who I thought could beat Haye. And I guess you did not like my answer so you copped an attitude. However, I will say it again I don't care and it doesn't matter who I believe can beat Haye. Simply because in my opinion they would be little more than fantasy fights and you mine as well have asked me who would have won Dempsey or Ali.
In closing I am also going to amend a statement I made in an earlier post. I stated that I would rate Haye above Arreola but after thinking about it I think I am going to change that, and this is why. Haye may have more skills than Arreola and he may even be more powerful, debatable. However, one thing I will say about Chris, when he fought Vitali he was highly outclassed. However, he came to fight and left it all in the ring because he has something that Haye is obviously missing and that is a lot of heart.
And sometimes having a big heart is more important than having all the skills in the world and that is something coming from me because I don't even like Chris. But, I can honestly say that I have more respect for the way Chris loses than anything to do with what Haye does.
Other than Vit/Wlad, who could beat Haye ?
I would love to see Haye/Adamek.
No, his best win is Valuev for the WBA strap.
Wladimir Klitschko must be truly awful then.
Because, despite holding a huge physical advantage over a guy who you classify as nothing but an over-rated blown-up cruiser, Wlad failed to dominate, subdue, or even hurt David Haye, he never had him in trouble once.
I am not completely disagreeing with you, but I would definitely move my sliding scale back toward the middle-ground, thats all.
I don't now how to break down each quote like you do but here goes. You must not have read what I wrote. Simply because if Valuev was in his prime when Haye fought him why has he not fought since that fight almost two years ago? And that is not even taking into account the fact that Vlauev really was not that good to begin with.
I also find it rather strange that Valuev was looked upon as little more than a carnival side show act with an alphabet strap. Than somehow he became a legitimate champion when Haye fought him. That is fought him in one of the worst god awful fights that I have ever had the displeasure to watch.
With that said, I honestly don't think that Haye, or for that matter, even Holyfield did enough to beat the Beast. And Holyfield even looked better doing what he did while Haye was faking injuries, broken hand, to try cover his a$$ in that forgettable stink fest of a fight. So, if that was Haye's best win he really should not brag about it.
As far as Wlad not being able to hurt Haye. Well, all I can say to that is that regardless of how big or even how good a fighter is it is kind hard to hurt someone while they are running track. Simply put, everyone knows that Wlad is safety first and will only go for the knock out if it opens up to him, don't believe me see the Ibragimov fight. And I was hoping against odds but I knew that was exactly what was going to happen. Because, Haye does not have the boxing skills to get past Wlad's jab. Haye also leads with power punches that he wings from way out. And that may work against the washed up Mormeck's and Enzo Macc's of the world but it ain't going to work against most world class heavyweights. Because, in reality it didn't work against Valuev or even Ruiz.
And last but not least who could beat Haye? I really don't care because I believe that Haye will never fight another legitimate world class heavyweight who's name is not Wlad or Vitali. And I honestly hope that Vitali blows him off. Because Haye has already received way more than he deserves and I hope he just retires and goes away quietly into the shadows.
Another Brit dominated and retired by the Klitschkos.
Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement.
Wlad dominated Haye and Vitali scared him into retirement.
Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye
THE FACTS
Haye was scared shitless. He was afraid to engage with Wlad. He was in survival mode the entire fight. He was running like a scared girl from Wlad the whole fight and was flopping like a coward.
Wlad dominated the fight.
Wlad won every round.
Wlad was the aggressor from start to finish. He was the pressure fighter and was coming forward the entire fight.
Wlad boxed beautifully.
Wlad made Haye look like an amatuer.
Wlad threw twice as many punches as Haye.
Wlad landed twice as many punches as Haye.
Wlad outlanded Haye in every round.
Wlad hurt Haye several times and made him spend the entire fight in survival mode running for his life and flopping like a coward.
Haye was totally outclassed, schooled, beaten up, exposed, dominated and humiliated by Wlad.
I scored it a shutout 119-107
Another masterful dominant win for Wlad.
lol at this delusional bitter butthurt Haye nuthugger/Wlad hater LeadUppercut.
This guy was always defending Haye and talking shit about Wlad before the fight and he's still going out of his way to try to bash and discredit Wlad's dominant win over Haye.
1. Haye is 6'3" and has longer arms than Wlad. He's about the same size as a young "Big" George Foreman. He's much bigger than Ali, Holyfield, Tyson, Louis, Frazier, etc.
2. HBO, Sky Sports, Ukrainian TV, Russian TV, German TV, Polish TV, all 3 judges, every news and boxing writer, etc. all said Wlad DOMINATED Haye.
LOL!!! GTFO!!! Are you serious? Or are you high as shiat like Fatton and Calslappy?
First, "winning with grace"? You must be sh*tting me. Have you been under a rock for the past 3 years? Have you seen what Gayevid has done? I am not going to list it all but he obviously acted like the biggest twat, cunt, and prima donna with the biggest mouth, talking so much shiat about the Klitschkos. Yeah, yeah, it was to sell the fight you probably gonna say, well either way, you talk big, you have to back it up, or eat crow.
If you don't want the criticism then conduct yourself accordingly. It wasn't that he lost, everyone looses against the Klitschkos, it was his behaviour before, during, and after the fight. He acted like a twat before the fight, like a scared coward biatch during the fight (flopping to the ground like a wet sloppy vagina and looked for the ref's help every time Wlad threw a punch), but then he blamed his little PINKY toe from THREE WEEKS prior!!!!
Gayevid = Brit Coward Vagina, plain and simple, live with it, cause that is what he will be remembered, not that he was the 2 weight champ
I may not of chosen the sames words. But, I have to say I could not have said it better myself.
I didn't write anything because the lack of respect for a 2 weight world champ on this thread is dispicable. Have you ever heard of winning with grace? I guess not. David Haye is a very good fighter, as a fan of Wlad you should acknowledge that he beat a very good fighter, it only reflects better on Wlad's resume anyway. As I am writing this post I honestly don't know why I am wasting my time with you.
Wladimir did not exactly come out of that fight with huge plaudits, he barely landed a worth while punch. He couldn't once hurt a fighter who is known to have a weak chin, and I don't want to hear about Haye being defensive because he is always defensive and a counter puncher. Haye coudn't deal with the speed of Wlad's footwork, spacing, and timing...but Wlad again fought too defensive and too safe. Wlad is a winner...I will give him that, he has addressed his weaknesses and become a world class heavyweight, but he has quite a bit to do if he wants to be remembered as one of the atg's, and the Haye performance would not have added much in that respect.

i don't have nothing against Haye but with the heavyweight division being at the weakest ever, the ex cruiserweight could still beat everybody but the top two.
Based on what? What are you making that assumption off? He never faced young top HWs other than Wlad and you saw how that turned out. I bet Chagaev, Povetkin, Boytsov, Chambes all beat him.
CARL FROCH has revealed he expects fallen *heavyweight hero David Haye to retire.

good... haye sucks. no one wants to see him run.
In that case, I would be super-super interested in hearing your top 10.
There are not 10 top heavyweights in the world today.
Regardless of how good or bad they are there has to be the ten best heavyweights in the world. And I guess you really did not read what I said. But I will say it again with a little added. Other than Arreola, who has a big heart but really sucks, and I also know nothing about Boystsov, I believe that most of the Ring's top ten are better boxers than Haye. I also have a very hard time rating Haye very high when his best career win over a in his prime fighter is Enzo Macc. Simply put I believe that Haye is and always was overrated even as a cruiserweight. But, if his mouth alone could win him fights he would be an all time great and should be in the Hall of Fame someday.
i don't have nothing against Haye but with the heavyweight division being at the weakest ever, the ex cruiserweight could still beat everybody but the top two.
Haye is lucky that his purse wasn't withheld for his so-called 'fight' against K -- the worst thing a boxer can do is not try to win a fight, regardless of the outcome -- that's what Haye did -- he took his money under false pretenses and basically defrauded all who paid to see it -- belongs in the Hall of Shame
who dou you think is ahead of him, except of the klitschkos?
They may not be as fast but I believe that most of the Rings top ten are better boxers than David Haye, to include Adamek. I believe the problem with Haye is that most fans listen to what he says and somehow confuse that with what he has actually done in the ring. With that said, after this past July I would hope and think that that would no longer be the case.
For all the slagging that Haye is getting he is still the best Heavyweight out there outside of the 2 T100's. Really doesnt say much for the state of the division especially in the USA where there is no one better than the so called joke that is Haye. I cant remember too many people handing out the same kind of **** to the poor excuses for challengers from the States that have fought either brother that Haye has received though.
Haye has fast hands and some pop but other than that he really truly is not a very good fighter and hardly the third best heavyweight in the world. Matter of fact I personally have a hard time listing him as even a top ten HW.
Hard to imagine any fighter being happy to hang em up after losing like that.
Had Haye been battered into submission or KTFO, then sure, I could understand.
He is just following his countryman Hamed. Quit after choking in the biggest fight of your career.
Its a Chav thang.
