im an mma fan as equally as a boxing fan..but this bull**** how there just saying "boxing is old news", "boxing is 1 dimensional", "this is the future"...now there copyin Friday night fights..with a UFC equivalent one one..and November 12th there tryin to go head to head with Pac vs Mar with a UFC on FOX..WTF!
man this is pretty crazy if u think about it 10 years ago mma was not allowed on ppv lol and now they are on national television I doubt it lasts long though.
if they put on brocks comeback, against Mir, with some sort of 24/7 type of hypeshow, i think they could do well.
It's on network tv after all. Not ppv.
Yeah i'm pretty sure there gonna wanna make a splash in there first date
for fox.Perhaps like u say get brock on there.
fist UFC on fox card is going against Manny-Marquez
that sucks for them
That's great news for fight fans like myself not for the UFC though. Does Fox honestly believe fight fans will tune into a Cruz title fighter over a Manny fight? What the hell are they thinking. :lol1: They might get good DVR numbers.

James Toney is fighting Ken Shamrock (mmGAY!) in October. We will finally see which sport is the best now!
randy couture beat his ass less than a year ago...........http://www.fighters.com/wp-content/uploads/_q0apN.jpg
mma is god stuff....
but its for drunk casual fans....
boxingfans know there sport....
mma fans are like "well boxing u only have two fists in mma u have a bunch of stuff"
they dont know the difference between elite championship boxing and tuf ufc brawling....
i hope boxing makes a move and builds its popularity also
reading this forum makes me seriously doubt that alot
They changed networks because there ratings right now on ****e TV was the LOWEST it's ever been in the company's history. There PPV buys have been on the decline for months. It's not because it's not getting promoted it's because people are getting turned off. It's getting stale quick. UFC on Fox isn't gonna change anything.
Totally irrelevant.
While we're at it though, no Boxer or MMA fighter will ever have the importance or impact this man had on not only sports, but a way of life as we know it today.

No Jack Johnson no Jackie Robinson, Johnson was the first to break the color barrier and he boxed.
Totally irrelevant.

Not even sure if I know who that is. Jackie robinson?
MMA would never have a man of this caliber

There is no mutual respect. You're comparing a sport (boxing) to entertainment (MMA)
A better comparison would be MMA to pro wrestling
Both MMA and Boxing are contact "sports" that provide entertainment. WWE is scripted entertainment. I've seen far more people have respect for both sports being fans of either Boxing or MMA more than people trying to discredit the other for the sake of being a bigger fan of the opposing sport (which at the end of the day is all it is).
6 fight nights a year on FX and 4 big (probably almost-PPV caliber) cards a year on "Big Fox".
Dana doing it big
like the man fox ??? fox 5 in ny
thats crazyyy
I don't get what the big deal is. MMA will be easier to see, but that's not gonna make it any more entertaining.
Boxing's always been losing momentum in the US, and the UFC's been gaining momentum, so it's not like this is anything new.
That being said, u like 1 better than the other, 1 being more shouldn't affect that opinion
MMGAY is a joke and so is it's fanbase. You can't compare a legitimate, highly skilled sport like boxing to glorified gay grappling sessions. You can't compare men who condition themselves to absorb punches to the glass jawed fairies that prance around in surfer shorts, with their chins hanging in their air and winging their arms around in the hope of making contact with the others chin.
MMGAY has always made it's name off of running down the sport of boxing. It's always marketed itself as the closest thing to a real fight(not that I've seen many fights in which two men molest one another on the floor) and the type of "sport" that the hip, young and cool people watch. It has no other way of marketing it's product other than the homoerotic and human cockfighting aspects.
