To agree with this thread, he needs to beat Froch and Ward. Then I'll call him the best. Until then, I can't deny that he looks great and is exciting to watch. Who goes to the body like he does? Look at how Kessler found a different option after seeking Bute up close- and Kessler calls himself the Viking Warrior of all things.

I would say Bute is the best, but we need to see him against Ward to make it official. Hell, Ward still has to beat Mr. Overachiever, Carl Froch.

i will agree that his left uppercut is a killer. i was re-watching his fight with Sakio Bika and that was the punch that first made an impression. It took Bute six rounds before he settled down and started working off his jab. Bika is a good common opponent that both Ward and Calzaghe also had a hard time with. possible that Ward had an off night, since both Bute and Calzaghe were able to get off shots from the outside. still Bute remains an interesting fight for both Ward and Froch.

Bute has a lot of potential, I'll admit, but that's really it. We can say whatever we want about him, but I can't give much credit until he starts facing the big boys of the division. Froch has the best resume hands down and Ward is the most skilled. I pick Froch to upset Ward, and I can see him or Ward putting a beating on Bute. Just my honest opinion.

headbutting kessler to death and picking on a 1 diminesional midget does not = good competition. Ward still hasn't impressed me at all. Froch is tested but nothing bute couldn't handle IMO
