Am I the only one that doesn't think Berto is finished?
I mean, he got beat by a strong Ortiz, but almost seems he didn't take that match-up too seriously.
And yes, his competition up to that point wasn't the best, but the sport needs a fast, powerful, explosive fighter. He's exciting to watch most of the time.
Call me crazy, but I think an Ortiz rematch looks way different than the first fight. Maybe he'll want to prove that he's got a bit more heart than it seems.
Just my thoughts.
:boxing:
Berto was gifted a World title then defended it against Bums/fighters coming up in Weight and the 2 times he stepped up he got beat or should have got beat.
There's fighters out there that haven't won a "World Title" like Berto did but are better than him. I can see Zaveck beating him.
he can come back strong for sure but if you base it on nsb standard, it's either he's done, shot or a leftover...just like what happened to hatton and cotto after they suffered their first defeat.
berto is way too wild with his technique. he will probably be beaten by any boxer who comes with a plan, and withstands some of the berto's pressure. zavec should study the ortiz tape to get a clue how to beat him.
i dont think the probalem is that he is finished....
i think he wasnt that great to begin with....
he needs to work on the technical side of the game....
with better skills to go with he great athleticism he could be pretty damn good...
but i think he is with thwrong trainer....
He also needs to face actual competition and not bums or people moving up in weight...

hes not finished. i dunno who would think that. he didnt look that bad in the ortiz fight. he lost but he showed a lot of heart and determination. with that said, he has huuuuuge holes in his game and he has a lot of work to do. im sure he'll get a belt but there are many fighters around his division that are gonna be picked over him.
