Both are past their physical primes. Your criteria doesn't work.
Evidence of this?
Is Floyd or Manny a worst boxer now than they have been in the past, by a noticeable degree?
If fighters are not in their prime, not a superfight.
Tyson vs Lewis, would not make also, since Tyson was well past his best.
Wrong criteria for a superfight. Jeffries was retired, Ali was past prime for Frazier and Foreman.
The circumstances surrounding the fights listed make them superfights.
If they are not in their primes, no.
No suggestion so far they are slipping though.
you think pac and may is still in their prime?
and where from are you getting this definition of a superfight?
so pac may is not a superfight?
a superfight is just a really big, anticipated fight.
Tyson - lewis was huge.

It was a superfight with huge anticipation and build up.
But why do you care? After all "jabs don't matter"

Leonard vs Hagler would not qualify, both past there prime and Leonard out of his weight class.

IMO, Hagler vs Leonard is the very DEFINITION of a "Superfight" :boxing:
Johnson-Jeffries
Louis-Schmeling 2
Ali-Liston 1
Ali-Frazier 1,2 & 3
Ali-Foreman
Leonard-Hearns
Leonard-Duran
leonard-Hagler
Tyson-Lewis

Good list, but how can you leave out Hagler-Hearns?
What are they?
I remember reading someone what qualifies for a superfight.
Can't remember it exactly, but It was like both fighters have to be in their prime, be HOFs fighting, fighting at there best weight.
Will try and find it with google.
