Why do people say that margarito is shot?

sooo: Mosley Morales III Margarito ODLH weren't shot or really past prime? So was Hatton, Cotto and Barrera according to many. Everyone Pac fights is either a bum or shot. And, if I'm honest, the same goes for Floyd. The standards are just so much higher for them, and on top of that they both have alot of haters. Just imagine if Pac or Floyd fought the Darren Barker of the WW division...

He fought Pac. Everybody that fights Manny is supposedly shot, even though they might go on and enter the p4p top10, being the #1 guy in the division etc. (Cotto) If Pac beat Sergio he would be old and shot according to BS the day after.

We'll lets see he has been inactive, has taken 2 brutal beatings, and just had major surgery. Margarito is SHOT and so is Cotto

How is he not shot after two brutal beatings and yet Cotto was immediatley shot after losing to Margarito in some people's minds? Double standard.

he isnt shot he just had a long lay off, they took the stuff out of his wraps and in his 150 pound fight with pacquiao he seemed like he was drained from the weight cut.... he might look better at 154 or even 160..... but he doesnt seem to have the same punch.... i wonder why? :)

margarito didn't look too good against roberto garcia because he just came off a 1 year suspension. OH, forgot to mention that he also didn't look good because he got ko'd by Mosley, and that he was "SUSPENDED" because they tampered with his their gloves . i don't know maybe that's why he didn't loook too "good". He still has all those attributes you mentioned and against lesser opp than Pac he would have looked much better.

Yeah that Margarito was in great shape and proved that he still has it mentally. He just ran into a monster. That Margarito would have crushed any WW bar mosley. Thanks to a couple of posters who defined "shot" and "past prime", i have redefined my opinion of both Cotto and Margo. I don't think either are shot, but i do think they are past their primes. Just my :2 cents:

I think people say Margarito is "SHOT" maybe to discredit Mosley and/or Pacquiao I guess with Margarito, he looks good against CERTAIN STYLES, against a BOXERS and/or someone with SPEED, he really doesn't look as good, he always been like that but Bob Arum is a GREAT MATCH MAKER, so he knew which fighters to give him

What I wanna know is, how and the HELL can you Pactards act like Margarito is a great fighter and true warrior, when dude might have only been a great fighter due to that he was using Plaster of Paris. And then you guys blast a young, good fighter, not a cheater like Ortiz.
