He's clearly on meds, and they aren't working. Either meds, or he's trying his absolute hardest to be a nice person. But at 3:30 you can clearly see the old Mike starting to slip up. He got a little riled up there. Watch, tell me if anyone else notices the instant personality flip.
Also, this kid interviewing him is a tool and gets nervous as hell throughout the rest of the video.
and since an early age he's had the weight of the world on his back and he acknowledges he wasnt ready for it..stop trying to judge people he's trying to better with his life and i commend him
Dealing with the pressure mike went through at an early age is MUCH harder than dealing with an everyday struggle, Forza and others don't seem to realize this.
Mike went from the system to INSTANTLY being in a position most people would kill for. He didn't become a better person and earn it, he didn't put hard work in to get it. He instantly found himself in a position where all he had to do was train to excel at something he'd been doing all his life anyway (fight) and then have to handle the pressure of the media, being a champion, women, money, everything.
Much more mature people than Mike have worked their entire life for that type of fame and got it 'over time', knowing and understanding the pros and cons to that type of stardom entirely - and STILL end up complete wrecks because of it.
Trust.. Mikes "mansion since 12 years old" is a big part of the reason he's a loose cannon.
However.. I do agree he's a ticking time bomb though. I just think he has a very short fuse and is extremely irritable. You seriously have to watch how you push his buttons.
I made a thread like a month ago saying that this "new" mike tyson was all an act and I got flamed for it. I can see straight through him, he's acting. The guy is a ****ing monster and has lots of personal demons. He's still a damn pit bull that can snap at any second, a ticking time bomb indeed.
He'll **** up soon, he always has. He's a lifetime **** up.
dude, at least he is trying.
if he was a monster then why act like a good guy when everyone thinks he is a monster already?
I see what you mean, but I think you're reading too much into it. Mike Tyson may have changed somewhat, but he'll never be a priest. I didn't see anything remarkable about Tyson's response, nor did I see the host become particularly nervous.
If Tyson gets irritated about the questions he's asked, it's probably because he's been asked the same things a million times. That can get old real fast. The only reason I can see for anyone exposing themselves to that treatment is because they need the money.
Thanks for posting the video. Green K.
I feel you, and I'm not saying it's a problem. It's just at times you can see he's seriously 'trying' to restrain himself. Makes you wonder if he'll lose it at some point and time. As for the interview - the stuttered questions, deep breaths between words and even re positioning in his chairs were signs of nervousness at that point.
And for good reason, lol
Do you know mike, ever sat down and talked to him??
hows your life?have you delt with adversity?ever had everything and lost it all??
look in the mirror before passing judgement
No never talked to mike but i'm sure i've gone through more adversity. Mike was living in a mansion at 12 years old.
mike is mike and he's happy and enjoying family life..thats all that matters
He's not enjoying family, he's media hustling because he's flat broke. Dude will self promote himself in ANYTHING. B rated movie, animal planet show etc.

Nah, listen to the voice change and everything. Even his eyes squinted. At one point he was answering everything as nice as he could, he had already answered the question about atlas and summed it all up - then felt the need to go on with " Look, do you think he'd have said that to my face? Hell no " pretty much. It was a complete 180 imo, even if subtle.
Then at the end, he gives the kid an ultimatum (as nice as he could) basically a warning with " Check this out man " followed by " I don't like talking about my past, ok? " He's a ticking time bomb IMO. Big ups for him keeping his composure as long as he's been able to.

No, I didn’t see any split in his persona; he just matched a hostile question with a reasonable response.
Mike’s doing well for himself right now. Good for him.
