Maybe a little weird? While Vitali is fighting for democracy in his country Wladimir is out visiting Sochi with Putin?? Seems like they are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Im not an expert on Eastern European politics, but I know that I at least agree with Vitali's goals of westernizing and evolving Ukraine so that it becomes a more modern and capitalist country and is not so influenced by outside forces. Whether his means of getting to that stage are flawed or not I don't know because I dont live in that part of the world, but what he wants I fully support. Again, I dont think its like Pacquiao who seems to think itd be cool or neat to be a congressman. I think Vitali just wants to help his country.
For as much indifference that the U.S. has shown the Klitschko brothers, especially Vitali, I think he really loves the United States (shown at least in part by his making sure that his children are U.S. citizens), and he wants his country in many ways to resemble the U.S. (with hopefully a more responsible fiscal policy).
I realise that Ukraine and Russia are two different countries. I was just mentioning it because there was concern in another thread that Putin might have Vitali poisoned for his involvment. I guess the general consensus was that he was responsible for the poison that disfigured Yushchenko.
