So I'm not even talking about boxing right now. Right now I'm worried about spending the holidays with my family and taking a long vacation to really see if I would want to come back to the sport of boxing. I've been in the sport my whole life. As of right now, I'm really bored with the sport of boxing."

Man I could go on and on this google archive search is a thing of beauty
Cotto`s team said that Cotto was`nt ready for Floyd when Floyd called him out for a unification bout.Floyd also called out Hatton for a unification bout at 140 and Hatton insinuated that he was`nt ready either.
Why would Floyd call out Cotto only to say he's too green? That doesn't even make sense.
Floyd was on FNF saying Miguel was too green after Cotto obliterated Judah or Quintana. Than he proceeded to duck Shane for some time as well and just disappeared from the sport after all his cherry picked and easy fights, while Miguel basically fought and cleaned out all the live dogs.
The only fight where you can actually give Floyd credit for finding some spine was when he actually stepped up and fought Judah. And he didn't even sign for that fight until Judah LOST to Baldomir
Floyd's a fraud plain and simple.
Although if his legacy is anywhere, its back at 130 and 135. Because he certainly ducked, dodged, and hid at 140/147.
I remember all of this.
And it was Floyd who went on ESPN and said Miguel Cotto was too green, not Arum.
Yet Floyd will fight Victor Ortiz who is not only more green than Cotto ever was, but he also has more and possibly worse flaws than Cotto ever had, including 2 more losses and a draw.
Floyd's a coward and a fraud and will go down in history as such.
Styles make fights and Cotto had a style that would have ****ed Floyd up bad.
I personally dont think they ducked each other, there was zero offer from each side, But i think the interest was there but i doubt they would call each other out because they are both at the stage where they didnt need to, The Margarito saga was totally different though..

Man I could go on and on this google archive search is a thing of beauty
You can't duck a fighter if the fighter you choose to fight over him is ODLH.....it's simply not possible!!!!!
A lot of people wanted to fight Mayweather.
But if the fighter was deemed to tough, Floyd would avoid that fight for an easier one.
Cotto
Marg
Williams
Pacquiao
Martinez
Khan could be another that joins that list.
Arum: "Floyd is a psychological coward."
Floyd: "Cotto lives really far away."
Someone should have told him Argentina's Baldmomir lives a bit farther.
Also... What fckin fanbase did Baldomir have?? I know Floyd likes to pretend it's all about "fanbase."
Floyd... why?
Why did you have to be such an unstable mental case? Trippin over your own excuses... crying for beating journeymen... why?
Floyd, you could have been a champ worthy of more admiration but you chose to act like a dumb fck in the public arena. You chose to fight BS fights and act like a WWF character instead of being a throwback fighter with heart and desire to fight the best.
Floyd... You shat on your legacy. Garbage legacy encrusted in glitter like a bad fckin costume. You will never be respected on a real level because unfortunately for you... men with names like Leonard, Ali, Robinson etc, have already shown what it means to be a real fighter and a real champion.
You can fool some of the rookie Playstation generation... but you can't fool me.
First off I'll say I'm not a Mayweather fan at all. But I'm starting to thing that isn't always fear with this guy. I think his camp looks at the career of the opponent and where its going. If he leaves the guys alone in another weight class and then unifies the belts. It makes more money and roar leading up to the fight. No doubt Floyd has turned down a lot of fights but to say it's solely based on fear is too easy...it doesn't take much thought to come up with that. On top of that it isn't a good fight for Cotto style wise. Cotto was chasing Margarito and started out that way with Pac. He is naturally a head first guy and fighters catch him off balance when they fight off angles like Chop Chop Corely did. Cotto is good but he doesn't have a well rounded boxing skill set to even come close to beating Floyd. Styles make fights. Fighters with a good skills set give Cotto problems. You might Margarito doesn't have a good skill set, well he does have one better skill than Cotto and that is footwork. Only real fans and fighters will know what I'm talking about. Cotto is flat footed and head first and that why he got destroyed by Margarito and I predict he'll do it again and Pac did the same. Now another flat-footed jerky fighter that fights solely off of quickness and power is Mosley and that fight was close...and that was a good match up for Cotto. Guys like Margarito, Pac, and Floyd destroy Cotto. Cotto can't reinvent himself at this point his warrior spirit is still wounded and I don't think he'll ever beat a super elite fighter like Pac or Floyd. Just wait until all of this hype wears off to boost the fight against Ortiz...as much as I hate to say it but Floyd will destroy Ortiz. Now to get Ortiz a bounce back fight he should look for Cotto...Cotto can't handle a good southpaw.
The Oscar quoting article. All that proves is that Oscar ducked Margarito.
The Cotto article titled "Mayweather always makes excuses" proves nothing because if you keep reading. You will see that Cotto was in discussions to fight Clottey in March(turned out to be Gomez in April). Just days after Floyd-Hatton. Why not try to actually make a fight with Floyd?
The Arum article titled "Cotto made Mayweather retire" Not only did Cotto have a fight with Gomez coming up(when they never reached out to Mayweather). But, already had a fight with Mayorga lined up for July(which turned out to be instead Cotto's daddy in Margarito).
Really none of these articles prove a damn thing that what you're saying.
Like I said it proves that Oscar ducked Margarito.
And, it proves that Cotto never reached out to Floyd and always had another fight lined up while mentioning Floyd.
So please by all means keep on going.
well damn...
Another thread about old ****
Keep posting stuff like this like its going to change something. Its going to change the whooping Marg gave Cotto, but cheated in the process ?

Ducking is not understood.
Floyd did not duck Cotto.
But at the same time...everyone knows that Cotto wanted the fight..he had something to gain, both monetarily and in magnitude of the fight. Floyd didn't have as much to gain. From a business perspective, it's hard to blame him.
When Floyd should have fought him, Cotto was the best option...and Cotto wanted the fight, I don't want to hear the bull**** of "oh he didn't call him out" as if that actually means anything.
But Floyd retired...it was bad timing more than anything. I mean it's not like he "retired" and game back 10 months later...he was out 2 years. I truly believe that Floyd just didn't want to fight anymore...not running from Cotto.
This whole topic has been beaten to death. Cotto wanted the fight...Floyd, understandably was hesitant....then took a hiatus(of which I don't think had to do with avoiding Cotto).
