Order of the fights for the Starpower PPV.

A better card, but not a great one by any means. One competitive fight (main event) and another interesting fight (Morales-Matthysse). The other two are slaughters. Can't wait though.

It is not a bad match-up for Morales, he is still a tough dude who has some boxing skill. Even if Matthysse is better than Maidana which is not certain he is not a guy that will not be there for Morales, so even if he puts a beating on Morales, Morales is going to be there getting his, so in that sort of fight he still has a chance. How is that not a good undercard fight, the young hungry guy has the advantage but it is not like Morales is going to punk out and he could teach the younger guy a lesson because he seems to be very into the sport.

Hell of a ****in card. I will be ordering.

I had Corley winning that fight too. Which goes to show how overrated Maidana is. Yup, I'm sure we've discussed this before.

Morales is in for a beating because he simply isnt good enough against guys his own size. Matthysse is the better fighter plain and simple. Agree with the bold. Matthysse just has to up his activity some more and he'll be more dangerous.

morales-matthysse should be the main supporting bout...should switch places with alvarez-gomez fight.

Explain why? Morales did VERY good against Maidana, heck, he were almost the winner of that fight... Maidana throws slow telegraphed wide looping punches. Matthysse throws straight well coordinated punches, Morales is in for a beating. Major difference here man.

DAMN, this card is ridiculous! Can't wait. Anyone complaining is an idiot. Morales is what we call in Mexico a "gallo fino" and will come to fight. A victory over Mathysse would be epic and a good present to Mexico for its 201st birthday.

Morales-Matthysse and Canelo-Gomez are mis matchs but I'll still look forward to them :lol1:

And, that I think was his point. So I can see where he's coming from that aspect. But, it could also be a barnburner. It's Morales after all. I'm just banking on Morales to have an 1/8 of gas left in his tank. because, that's all he will need to make this a good fight. I'll be paying attention to Steve Kim and Doug Fischer because they were mentioning that Morales had looked good in sparring before the Maidana fight. Hopefully we get the same signals this time around. Also hopefully Morales can keep both his eyes for a longer period of time this time around. I'm hyped for this match-up.

The one fighter I want to see the most is Jesse Vargas. The more meaningful fight is Floyd-Ortiz obviously. And, i see what you're saying and I agree. But, I can't help but being more intrigued about the Morales-Matthysse match up then the any other fight on this card. It just something about Morales -it could be that I'm living off yesteryear- that always pulls me in. And, I'm not so sure if Matthysse is the truth or not. And, Canelo-Gomez meh I can do without. Yeah Vargas is my boy, I got high hopes for him, I'm pretty excited for this card, I think it will be a good night of boxing just don't like to see Morales take punches at this point.
