Some of the quotes Mike Tyson said are some of the dumbest things I have ever heard. I think Tyson should be #1 on this list for just having some of the craziest antics in the history of sports. Some of the things he said:
"I am many things. I am an animal. I am a convicted rapist, a hell-raiser, a loving father, a semi-good husband. You don't really know me."
"I can sell out Madison Square Garden masturbating."
"I'm just a dark guy from a den of iniquity. A dark shadowy figure from the bowels of iniquity"
Yes, Tyson was an incredible fighter. But if he could’ve used some common sense, he would’ve been the greatest fighter ever.
In addition, I would say James Toney attempting to fight in the UFC worthy of making this list. He got his butt kicked in the first minute of the fight and got submitted. Why he thought he could compete with a mixed martial artist in the Octagon is beyond me.
What do you guys think?

Tyson had great boxing knowledge, better than 99.9% of the boxers out there.
Tyson put on the act sometimes because thats what the public expected.
Pacquiao at the moment is proving he isn't too clever.
Let's his promoter hire his manager.
Let's his cowboy manager (Konz) run his business empire miserably
Now let's his promoter run his business empire.
For one of the biggest sports stars world wide, he has let a bunch of cowboys run his brand and business. What a total fool.
mr congressman not very smart man he no trust USADA and he no like condoms

Don't know them personally but when Paul Williams said they would keep doing what they were doing even though he was getting tagged by left hands in the Lara fight I thought this guy doesn't sound too bright, I don't expect a boxer to be a genius but I expect them to know about gameplans and how to work on their respective negatives but getting KO by Martinez from a left and then the last fight/interview was shocking.
Maybe it's because he feels that way Britain or some euro country put all there prisoners there and it basically was started by a European country
you think that idiot actually knows the history of australia and british colonialism of oceania?
hopkins didn't want to fight in australia because it was european.

Lol with all the dumb things Tyson said they ended up not being so dumb because one he could sell sell sell tickets and ppv and people still can't keep their minds off him so if it dumb for him to say it's dumb for anybody to listen to. But if you look at it this way it's basically sarcasm.
Now a dumb fighter would be Leon spinks isn't he like a janitor or something now?
Boxers are not rocket scientists or mathematicians, so there's bound to be a lot of dumb boxers.
How many pro boxers actually have a degree, Wlad, Vitali, Juan Diaz, off the top of my head...not much. But there are boxers like Bernard Hopkins who probably never finished high school and is very bright, despite his constant bashing of white fighters.
And you're in the running for dumbest poster in this forum. Congrats. :loser:
i agree, how dumb one can get discussing veterinary quack medicine and comparing it to athletes in a boxing forum. if theres a poll for dumbest poster hes way up there in my list.
As someone mentioned earlier, Hopkins saying Australia was in Europe was pretty dumb, but he seems to be intelligent anyway.
Paul Williams doesn't seem to be too intelligent, either. James Toney, to me, takes the cake though. He's never spoken without turning it into something hostile. He is amusing though, hahaha.
ali wasn't too dumb, just an uninformed black man(and there were a lot black men like that during that time due to racism), he couldn't read and write well so they wouldn't let him in.
I think this is where a lot of people missed the boat on Ali. He came up in a time where education opportunities were limited for Black men...not that they did not exist they were just limited. He was a hell of a genius when it came to marketing though.
Tyson on the other hand, one of my all time favorites, but dumb as a box of hammers.
His "I guess I will just fade in to Bolivian" quote is one of the funniest things I have every heard.
Of course he was very intelligent when talking about boxing history.
Muhammad Ali...once ruled "too dumb to be in the army." Find me someone else...not just boxers...just anybody who was ruled too dumb for the army...DURING A WAR. End thread.ali wasn't too dumb, just an uninformed black man(and there were a lot black men like that during that time due to racism), he couldn't read and write well so they wouldn't let him in.
Hands down, Mayorga. What idiot would let himself get hit on the head, not once, not twice, but three times. You may have brass balls, but you got to be real dumb to let another professional boxer do that to you defenseless.
:haha::haha: It's certainly looks amusing to the fans.
