No he's not! Jose Rameriz, fighting out of Fresno, Ca is the #1 best amateur in the world! He will win the gold next year at 132lbs mark my words. He's a 4 time national champion and has broken records held by De la hoya, mayweather, and mosley. he's already turned down million dollar contracts by top rank and Golden Boy so he can compete for gold next year.

;)
The dude was 14 the last time the Olympics came around. He IS the favorite to win the Gold Medal next year at 132 lbs and he has broken amateur records held by delahoya, mayweather, and mosley. They consider this guy a prodigy. Did you read any of the articles?
The olympics arent the only way to be a world champ

I wasnt all that impressed. Infact, I didnt even know which one was him. I thought he was the one in the red because the video started off showing him. Then he was getting owned so easily that I thought he had to be the one in the blue. Then the one in the blue got owned so I figured he must was the one in the red all along. Still, the dude in the blue looked like he was outclassing him early. He's good with good potential but he's not a guy I would jump out the seat on right now. He even got dropped

Is he a WORLD champion? national and WORLD are 2 totally different things bud.
Yes Vasyl Lomachenko is one of the world top amateurs
Problem is that alot of these post soviet country amateurs like to stay amateurs for along time and compete in the olympics rather then go pro
Another example is Russian Alexei Tischenko, who was considered the best P4P amateur in the world beating guys like Gamboa but is now will retire from boxing
Very sad. Someone needs to convince him to turn pro ASAP.
Lomachenko is the #1 p4p best amatuer fighter in the world. He will be turning pro after the 2012 Olympics.
I hope he doesnt waste his talents and stay Amateur...He is way too damn good to waste those talents he has. I will support him either way though, he thoroughly impressed me at the 2008 olympics, i was in awe of his skills.

yeah man, he is awesome. From the Ukraine. Gold Medalist at the 2008 olympic games. I believe he is fighting at lightweight right now. I dont think he has even lost a fight in 2 plus years. He has awesome footwork!!
