tyson said he knew he would beat him. but i wanna know what the pros on here think, was tyson a little afraid or did he really think it would be a piece of cake? im just wondering
I had no doubt that Holyfield would lose. Tyson can't box he can fight and intimidate his opponents before they got into the ring. Holyfield out boxed him just like Buster Douglas did and if they would of fought the first time when it was scheduled Holyfield would of KO him not TKO. Still like Tyson as a fighter though
Of course he did. Remember Holyfield was knocked out by Bowe not so long before this and had a heart condition. Don King was standing them up for Tyson to knock down. But Holyfield would have no part of it.
I think so. I think that Tyson's people picked Holyfield because Holyfield had looked pretty vulnerable since being stopped by Bowe in the third fight. It wasn't considered a competitive fight, and Tyson came out looking to knock Holyfield out early.
I don't think there was any fear of Holyfield in Tyson.
^^^This..
I thought Tyson would win. I would've loved to have seen them fight each other in their primes.

Who knows but that was a very pathetic Tyson that was only good against weak competition during the early rounds. I will admit, I didn't see that coming. And I don't think Evander looked all that great either. He looked a lot better against Bowe. Just my opinion.
