I don't consider him an 8 division champ. That JMW title was almost as much of a joke as this one is. it's pretty much the same in terms of being a joke. he fought a cheater coming off suspension for a year, who wasn't ranked at jmw and threw a catchweight on him. You can't defend this fight Barrios isn't even a 140 fighter, Morales Lost against Maidana FFS so why should Morales get a title shot before El Chino? it makes no sense. I won't consider the winner as the WBC champion, and the Khan Morales fight would not be a unification/undisputed title fight IMO. no one can defend this scam. maidana/guerrero or morales/maidana II should've been for the wbc belt IF anything. i won't consider morales the true 1st 4 division mexican champion, unless he defends it succesfully against a top 140 lber. possible maidana rematch?

If Tim clears up his contractual mess he should line up and disrupt this title match. The WBC continues to make a joke of themselves as an organization

This is the benefit of having friends in high places. If you can draw money and have maintained strong relationships, you can just walk into a vacant title fight. Barrios isn't even ranked in the top 40 of the 140 pound division. Morales' popularity among non-ethnic fans has pretty much evaporated over the years, so I'm not sure that he'd care what the mainstream thinks of his title win. But I sincerely hope that Bradley and his manager Cameron Dunkin can get a court injunction against the sanctioning of the fight, and sue the WBC like it looks like they're intending to do. Could you tell us again how the Philipines is a more accomplished boxing country than Cuba. Thanks.

i've watched maidana-morales twice now without the commentary and my score has always been 116-112 for maidana. i don't know what the fuck people are talking about.

This is a joke fight. Morales as much as I love the fighter is not a legitimate 4 time division champion. This is serious corruptness from WBC. And his ascension to 4 division titles is as corrupt as Pacquiao's 8 division titles. Honestly, Pacquiao is only a legitimate 6 division champion. His victories in Lightweight and Junior Middleweight should be taken with a sack of salt. He only beat David Diaz for the Lightweight title. Antonio Margarito as an opponent for the Junior Middleweight title were atrocious and undeserved. It is still respectable for Pacquiao being a 6 time division champion. Back to Morales, regardless of what the history books say. He is not a true 4 division champion. I am betting Jorge Arce or Fernando Montiel have better chances of clinching their 4 titles than Morales.

He had a few spots because Maidana has no defense and obviously took him lightly but he was battered on the ropes for most of the fight actually, the guy is done and ppl should stop supporting him, its a joke at this point. I honestly don't see how anyone could say Morales won that fight...Yeah he did better than anyone expected, but let's not pretend like the beginning and the end of the fight didn't happen.

morales beat diaz and maidana. he should really be a 5 division champ. Maidana was the interim champ. Not a real belt. Plus I didn't see very much controversy in that fight. He started very slow, and gave up the last two rounds too. I think Maidana did enough to pull it out. You could argue the Diaz fight though.

No that was the worst ever,neither even fought in that division.at least Morales Barrios fight there,it's garbage but still not as bad as that,but WBC is responsible for all of this garbage ??? Margarito was coming off a 154 fight. He also fought t 154 prior to that.

I can see Morales ranked as a top 10 JW as a result of his bout vs Maidana but definitely not Barrios. Yeah he's arguably top 10 in the division, but what I don't understand is how losing to the interim WBA champ gets you ranked at #2 by the WBC. that makes absolutely no sense. That's why this is a bigger joke than Pac-Marg. At least Margarito beat somebody ranked, even though he still shouldn't have been ahead of Vanes, Canelo or Angulo

Morales-Berrios is by far the biggest joke of a title fight the WBC has ever sanctioned. Worse than Pacquiao-Margarito, Canelo-Hatton and Berto-Cab Driver. We have a guy who has never won a fight at 140 vs a guy who has never fought there before in his life. The f**k kind of s**t is that? I like Morales, but I will NOT consider him a four division champ for this. Even Arce is more of one, even with an interim title. Morales should have to earn the title by fighting Bradley for it, or challenging Khan for his two. I suppose Bradley being stripped for inactivity isn't necessarily a horrible thing because they do have rules (even though they never follow them unless they want to hand a title to somebody), but still, this is some corrupt s**t.
