To the people saying Floyd is scared of Khan and won't fight him for whatever reason next year. What win on Khan's resume made Floyd "scared" of him, in your opinion?
Poll coming.
There is a reason why you fight the fight and why underdogs are underdogs.
If you were to ask the same question on all of Floyd's past opponents, the answer would be nothing. Floyd is that special.
However, as previously mentioned, there's a reason why you fight the actual fight and not just on paper. There is nothing on Ortiz' resume that made me think he can beat Berto, but he did.
In all seriousness though, it's still a good fight that could be built up for next year. If Amir were to beat Bradley or even somebody like Berto, I think it makes it for a perfect clash for 2012 and Amir would be a very worthy opponent for Floyd. No way would anybody (besides Brtis) favor Khan, but that comes with the territory fighting a fighter like Floyd who seems invincible.
that's stupid, I'm not even a Khan fan and I already know this is gonna be a hard fight for floyd. Styles make fights.
Stupid??
Zab actually landed a couple of tasty hooks when he actually bothered to throw
Amir still misses quite a bit when he throws, and Floyd would time him like a boss, the check hook wouldn't miss
Not to mention Floyd is up there as one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time
Floyd is also one of the most underrated inside fighters in the sport, which just happens to the weakest facet of Amir's game (although I did see a tiny bit improvement against Zab)
Stupid??
More like realistic
Anybody who says Floyd is 'scared' of Amir is either a Khan hater looking to get people to bash Amir, a Floyd hater, a Pactard, or just a straight up troll
Amir is my favourite fighter but Floyd schools him on way to an easy UD
He has been nothing short of phenomenal in his last few performances.
I do not go by who he beat, but what I see in the ring.
You guys put too much emphasis on resume. Use your eyes and not just a reference to boxrec.
i don't see khan being very effective with his "faster than judah hand speed" against floyd mayweather considering the one dimensional, clumsy offense he has. floyd will figure him out and time him very quickly. dude will stumble from pillar to post, eating right hand leads all night long. no defense, can't counter, can't fight going backwards, suspect stamina, suspect chin easy work.
No fight.
Khan gets eaten up by Floyd or Manny.
I think he will win a few early rounds, but by the mid way point I would expect either Pacman or Floyd to take over and start showing their class.
He simply doesn't have the experience and when he does have it they will be too old.
If anyone think Khan beats Floyd right now. Youre just trolling. Seriously.
You're a big fanboy. Not sure if that's worse than trolling.
Any realistic fan would think that Khan has a decent shot considering he's kept himself busy, is young, fast, and in his prime.
Mayweather hasn't fought in over a year so who really knows how much his skills have deteriorated at his age?
If Mayweather were to fight Khan instead of Ortiz in September it would be a definite toss up with Mayweather given a slight edge in the eyes of real boxing fans.
Khan COULD definitely beat Mayweather right now. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility unless you're a floyd hugger.
I honestly don't know what win would make me think Mayweather would beat Khan.
I would say the closest is Judah for both or Corrales for Mayweather, except those fights were so long ago for Mayweather, I'm not sure he can recreate those kinds of performances.
I can say that Khan is more of threat than Ortiz because of Khan's speed and decent power.
Khan is faster than anyone Mayweather has fought in his entire career.
If Khan-Mayweather happens and Floyd pulls it off it would be the best win of the last 8 years of his career.
A Prime Judah is much faster than Khan.
