Is Khan getting more credit for beating Judah than Ortiz beating Berto?

I think it's clear who they're REALLY trying to push here. GBP isn't necessarily pushing Ortiz as THE guy to beat Mayweather more than it being a "quality" opponent for Floyd. GBP knows they still need to season Khan to make the fight with Floyd (if it ever happens) much bigger to where a Khan loss wouldn't be money totally wasted for GBP being he moved up and made them money along the way. Ortiz is getting the bigger opportunity right now, but I think they see a bigger picture with Khan. all i wanna see is what khan does in the next year or so leading up to this fight. if he cant secure a fight at 140, he should leave. theres no reason to be there anymore. 147 to fight a tune up and a strong contender then mayweather.

One thing to consider...the Judah performance/win was the culmination of quite a few good wins over the last couple of years, he is on a roll and showing some consistency, and now has unified. Ortiz win came out of nowhere, and was a great performance but Ortiz has not yet shown that same consistency, I think though 140 was hurting Ortiz, he has the opportunity now to prove he belongs with the best.

Reading the forum the last couple of days people are really pumping AK up. I like Khan as much as anybody else but people must remember who he was fighting. Zab Judah hasn't even looked good since his comeback and is WAY past his prime. Furthermore, Zab has never won a big fight. If Khan did this against somebody like Maidana it would be more understandable. When Ortiz beat Berto it seems like many people just shook it off just because they felt Berto was overrated anyway. Personally, I hold Berto in a higher regard than most do on this board. I was fully expecting Berto to KO Ortiz and I was very surprised by Vic's grit. After watching Ortiz against Campbell, I never thought he'd have a fight like that in him. Ortiz was a heavy underdog against Berto and Khan was a heavy favorite against Judah, yet it seems as though AK is getting more credit for his win? Why is that? Not really . It only seems that way because Khan's fight is more recent in people's memory . He took the fight to Judah in the early rounds where many felt he would be tentative and beat him up . Ortiz had an entertaining win over the better fighter but since he's signed to fight Floyd pactard's will discredit Berto and bring up the Maidana loss.
