Given the heavy backing that american fighters get from officials in the states it doesnt bode well for froch if he pulls out a great fight and manages to win enough rounds to justify a decision.
Whether you call recent alexander fights against kotelnik & mattysse bad decisions, close fights or daylight robbery, or what you think of the judah mattysse decision or even the williams lara fight, its pretty clear that the american needs to be stopped in a lot of these situations.
Other recent decisions that were particularly bad were cintron v martinez and funeka v guzman in vegas and im sure there have been others too.
The super six final is being held in the boardwalk, atlantic city, site of the recent lara/williams farce and it was also the host of the first williams/martinez razor close fight where we saw the bizarre 119 - 110 score to williams benefit.
I just cant see froch being awarded a decision, even if he wins rounds they will just award them to ward, who has been at the nice end of a few scorecards himself, like a shutout against bika where bika clearly won a few rounds. I dont see any reason why its just not going to be more of the same.
Whether its people, networks or promotional companies influencing officials, biased officials, corrupt or incompetent officials or a combination of the above or something else, im hoping that whatever happens its not another judging controversy but wouldn’t be in the slightest bit surprised if it was.
To be honest i dont see any way that froch can get the decision in the states, he would have to do a lot better than lara when he fought in atlantic city imo
Ward has been earmarked as the winner of the super six right from the start with his fight schedule, hell he had the belt holder kessler land right in his hometown first fight!!
If the fight was in nottingham ward may have a tough time too, its a shame thats the way things are, but thinking about it bradley went to nottingham and took witters belt on a decision, so you never know, but i wouldnt think froch will get the close rounds put it like that, in fact he wont even get the rounds he does legimitely win
It won't matter because froch is going to knock ward clean out
dirrell? Kid was running for 8 rounds and getting slapped silly, then claimed he had brain problems " i might be retarded "
I dont think froch has the speed to land the clean flush shots needed to get the KO, he needs to make it a scrappy fight and pick up the close rounds, he may make it scrappy alrite but he wont get any close rounds

Given that Jack Woodburn had him up 106-102 vs Jermain Taylor which was an awful scorecard, I can assume he can get points even if he doesnt deserve them.
Good point, just shows you how crucial judge picking can be and the wrangling that goes on with it sometimes, promoters have an idea how officials have gone in the past
Where are they gonna have it then? Nottingham? Are we gonna pretend Froch didn't rob Dirrell?
Biased judging is part of the sport and Froch has benefited from it before. He'll get exactly what's coming to him. If he can KO Ward then power to him. If he gets robbed he had it coming.
I think dirrell should have got the nod in a very close and scrappy fight against froch. If, as you say, froch did somehow manage to win more rounds against ward but didnt get the decision and he had it coming to him because of the dirrell fight, that doesnt take into account the amount of work froch has had to put in to get this far, hes fought in denmark, finland, states and now states again, its a bit harder than cali, cali, cali, cali, nj.
as much as I like and respect Froch, if it goes to the Card I don't even think it is going to be close, he needs a Knockout REGARDLESS of who is the judges, his style is not made for winning by Decision nor do I think he can or will out-box someone like Ward...unless he is in Nottingham lol

EXACTLY!!!
no shot
im american and ill tell u str8 up we are the worst when it comes to judging fights
see williams lara and alexander mathesye ?
Recently, america has not been good at all, but overall, its hard to beat those germans at fixing the fights, but if the states continues the way its going then you may well challenge germany, do you want that to happen? Dont think so
Carl Froch said Ward has feather dusters for hands, so with that being said *I see no reason why his fans shouldn't expect anything but a KO from him.
Id say thats froch doing his usual trash talking before a fight raising the profile, even though ward is not a heavy hitter. Ward has been down but its quite a while ago and unless he goes down again i dont think his chin is suspect so froch will need a great gameplan or a bit of luck to put him down. Fighting at a higher level in recent years and froch has not shown himself to be a KO artist.

Froch is not going to win a decision in the USA versus Andre Ward.
Ward is associated with Dan Goosen and Al Hayman. Ward is also undefeated, young, and a former gold medalist. He's being groomed to take over from Mayweather.
Froch is going to need to knock Ward down and hopefully knock him out. That's the only way I see the Cobra's hand being raised at the end of it.

No way will he get the decision in America, but of course he couldnt win even if the judges were only slightly biased in his favor either. He cant win a decision because Ward is a better boxer than he is.
I agree ward is the better boxer but even if froch somehow manages to make it a scrappy fight and wins some of the scrappy rounds or hell, even if he did manage to win say 7 out of 12 or more, he still wont get awarded the decision, i dont think thats right
