Good news for us fans!!

According to an article in The Daily Telegraph, Sky Box Office are unlikely to show any pay-per-view boxing until at least 2013, if ever, after bad publicity surrounding the Amir Khan v Paul McCloskey fight and David Haye’s poor outings in his last two fights.
Charging people £14.95 for the Haye v Harrison fight was the first adverse publicity gained by Sky, who took flak for the having the bout on PPV in the first place even though it was a world title fight. European champion Harrison's profile wasn't seen as high enough to warrant a pay-per-view status by the fans, then the unsatisfactory first two rounds and subsequent predicted finish meant the bout brewed negativity with the masses.
There was then the Haye v Klitschko bout, which is now renowned for Haye’s remarks about hospitalisation and the infamous ‘toe’ incident. All of which have tainted the reputation of Sky Box Office and it may now be a long time before another boxing event makes it to the PPV channel.
Even though Britain currently has four world title holders in Amir Khan, Carl Froch, Ricky Burns and Nathan Cleverly, Amir Khan remains the only fighter that can command a pay-per-view audience. The WBA light-welterweight champion looks likely to remain with Primetime as he seeks to become a HBO PPV fighter with a win over IBF belt holder Zab Judah tomorrow night.

Yes, thank goodness, you've taken enough of a b*tchslapping for one-day, this thread was turning into a massacre.
:killyou:
^^^ That's essentially a personification of the discussion you two were having, with you being absolutely incinerated.
The thing is, when someone spouts out complete and utter garbage, resorts to name calling, putting people on ignore and red k'ing all because they can't come up with valid facts, I'm not sure that I would call that a *****-slapping Bro.
It's funny and at the same time, I feel sorry for ones like that. :lol1:
Actually, phag, there was a nice slice of superior reasoning in there - you're just too simple to spot it. But we'll see whose reasoning proves keener if the fight ever gets made - betcha it'll be mine, thoughhhhhh.
Floyd-Manny will DEFINITELY NOT be on Box Office unless it's attached to a sellable British card.
Anywayyyyyy, today I've managed to piss off between 20 and 30 bozos here just by being myself, ie. the brutally honest and excellent Adam Konitz, and have received several PM's of complaint, multiple hits of karma in both colours and spotted some nice new idiots to add to my ignore-list (among which number you will very shortly be counted, Vader).
I'm off to see to my hostages.
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee, faggottttttttttts.
Thank goodness for that!!!! :lol1:
You don't piss me off or irritate me in anyway I must add. Your posts are to be taken with a tiny pinch of salt.
Am sure this fight would be on PPV over here, it involves a well known British fighter against a well known American fighter so yea
Fancy a flutter with me Ray that Floyd-Manny is a Sky Box Office event?
100m?
im willing to bet that if khan v mayweather happens in 2012 it will definitely be on sky box office PPV

lol @ UK fans thinking SKY will make a PPV at 3am in the morning. Froch-Ward will be on SKY not Boxoffice.
2am-3am PPV's must do like 10-20k sales.
I agree that Froch-Ward will be on Sky but Floyd-Manny will DEFINITELY be on Sky Box Office.
Tyson was the kind of name here that neither Mayweather nor Pac will ever be - pairing him with Holyfield made those fights a whole other bag.
Look for another contest on that list that doesn't feature a British figher.
Floyd-Pacquiao wouldn't be PPV here unless it's attached to a sellable British card.
Now shush your mush, queer.
Uh????
Why should I shut up??
I said something, someone refuted it without checking their facts, I clearly proved them wrong WITH facts, end of that particular debate.
It's irrelevant whether Tyson is a bigger draw or not. What is relevant is that Sky WILL put on a pay-per-view even though neither combatants are English.
Now rotate on my middle finger. Twat.

Yes Tyson was the biggest ppv star ever, but pac-may will shatter any number he did on ppv, it will be sky box office with or without a british card. But they will probably cater a british card for the fight, ie arrange it around pac-may, but you bet your bottom dollar that none of the british card or any fighter or promoter involved with it would see any ppv revenue for the event. You will be proved wrong in time...rookie!
Good for the British ppl cause it has been nothing but disappointment when their own fighters has fought on pay per view.
Except when Calzaghe schooled Kessler
Yes they will...all they will do is show an interesting domestic card, maybe a world title fight on this side of the Atlantic. It will be showed normal Vegas time, your making claims about things when you don't even know the facts, you weren't even sure they had done 4-5am ppv's before when there have probably been over a hundred going back to Naseem Hamed and even before that. Everyone and their mother knows about pac-may at this stage and those who don't, will during the promotion and the week of the fight. They would target the UK market in the press tour...no doubt about it. May-marquez came here. You are seriously underestimating the pulling power of the fight. I will not argue my point anymore because I know I am right, you will find out when the fight happens.
With a strong domestic card to support it maybe it could do well. But i very much doubt it would break the 1.2 million mark.
Absolutely out of the question.
No fight on Sky showing non-British fighter(s) would be on PPV, never happened before, nor will in the future.
I agree. What casual fans in this country will pay 15 quid and stay up to the early hours of the morning to watch an American and a Philippine fight? Not many is my guess...
Get your facts right before you make stupid comments you can't even back up.

If it was to be showed at a reasonable time i might agree with you. I'm telling you right now no way will the casuals pay 15 quid and stay up until 4-5am to watch 2 non-British boxers fight.
Without the casual fans the PPV numbers wont be sh*t.
