Im just tryin to get a better idea as to why ppl hate this kid, Ive enjoyed all his fights since he got KOed and that KO is the reason i enjoy them. Im on the edge of my seat watching every fight waiting for that bomb to destroy him, but in all honesty the punch from presscot would have probably killed Vitali let alone Khan. I see the Zab fight being really exciting and everytime khan gets touched the whole room will jump up expecting him to drop, but he wont. i see it as another electric fight, khan being lightning fast, run in drop a 5 hit combo then dodge Zabs enslaught for a second then combo again. So when a fighter can be this exciting why does he get so much Hate
He simply talks too much and think of himself as a great fighter. He is entertaining to watch but I blame the media for printing everthing that he says. He is young and says a lot of dumb stuff but he is interviewed almost daily and likes the attention.
I don't dislike Khan, his fights are great. What I do dislike however,is the double standard at 140.People talk 4hit about ortiz losing to Maidana at 140.Then claim that that's why he pose no treat to elite fighters at welterweight. But turn around & say Khan's brital ko loss to Prescott at 135 means nothing anymore.
there was nothing brittle about that KO. That was the mother of all punches and Khan poked his big chin right in its way

He is arrogant, but hes no more arrogant than Zab was at 24. There are faaar more arrogant fighters like Haye or Tyson Fury, but Khan has backed it up to a point. He just needs to stop with this Floyd talk, we know you're ambitious Amir, but youve got Zab Judah infront of you, I'd worry about him first. This could be a major slip up if he loses this.
The one thing people hold against him is his unwillingness to fight Prescott, which I agree that it has to happen. But Prescott cant just demand a fight when hes getting beaten and looking terrible in his own fights. Hes living off that KO. If Prescott gets 2 or 3 good back to back wins, then Khan will challenge him.
The people that think Khan is scared of Prescott are just plain stupid. Khan just feels in his own mind, hes a level or two above where Prescott is right now and quite rightly so. But Khan HAS to exorcise that demon of his, because itll hang around his neck and in the minds of fans until he does.
But first, take care of Zab, thats all he needs to be thinking about. Then Sunday morning if he got the W, THEN start talking about whoever you want next.
I too think he is too arrogant. He talks about other fighters ducking him and how great he is yet he has been ko'd and refused to even entertain a rematch with the guy that ko'd him. I personally think Khan is one of the most talented boxers out there but he isn't as good as he thinks he is. That being said, the fight this weekend will be a great matchup....I'm hyped up for it. :boxing:
pretty much summed it up.

what does it have to do with islam you punk? fukk outta here
gadafi187's bandwaggon comments aside, here are a couple of examples of why people 'dislike' him -
"20k fans to see him for the mccloskey fight, 60% of whihc were women." really? were there 20k there? were there 20k there to see khan? i doubt there were 12k women. most of the crowd were irish fans coming to support mccloskey.
"i'm the best fighter in the UK" or words to that effect. are you? really? what about froch?
he's delusional and arrogant. i don't really blame him for it all, it's more his management.
On 23 October 2007, Khan was convicted of careless driving at Bolton Crown Court and given a six-month driving ban and a £1000 fine. The conviction related to an incident that occurred on 2 March 2006 in the centre of Bolton, when Khan's car hit and broke the leg of Geoffrey Hatton, a pedestrian who was using a pelican crossing while Kahn was travelling at 47mph in a 30mph zone and overtaking in the wrong lane. He was cleared of dangerous driving but charged with the lesser offence of careless driving and the pedestrian received an interim payment of £40,000. Geoffrey Hatton never fully recovered from the incident and died soon afterwards with Kahn passing on his sympathies. Khan was also summoned to appear in court in Rochdale on 26 October 2007, accused of travelling in excess of 140 mph on the M62 motorway on 31 December 2006. He failed to appear and the case was adjourned to 2 November 2007, with the District Judge warning that he would issue an arrest warrant if the accused did not appear by then. He was also charged with not producing his driving licence and insurance certificate. On 7 January 2008 Khan was fined £1000 and banned for 42 days for the speeding offence.
On 12 July 2009, Khan was once again involved in a motoring incident, this time a collision with a young cyclist. However, no action will be taken against Khan after police concluded that he was not to blame for the incident in Moor Lane following interviews with a number of witnesses.
